I just thought I'd let everyone know that they are up to 75% capacity now, and that both FastPass and Single Rider lines are operating. They are also not trying to "hide" the soft opening any more - there was a prominent Mission: SPACE Preview sign smack in the middle of Innoventions Plaza today.
I am up to nine rides now, and my wife has five under the buckle, and we have yet to witness one of our co-riders get sick. There are always some guests who need to sit down after the exit to catch their breath, but their numbers aren't nearly as great as some reports would have you believe (at least that was my impression after paying lots of attention to this while I was doing baby-swap duties).
They also do now put even more emphasis on how to ride the attraction properly, and also stress that you can leave at any time prior to boarding your capsule.

As for the ride itself, it's still virtually the same. Today, the little buttons you can play with no longer make a sound (too bad, those were fun), and some capsules stay partially lit during the brief hypersleep sequence.

Thanks for the updates!! I've ridden M:S twice now and LOVE it! I'm sad to hear the little button noises are no longer there - they were a fun surprise to discover.

It's been very interesting watching this ride slowly coming up to speed.

NOOOOO!!!!

NOT THE LITTLE BUTTONS!!!!

HOW DARE THEY!

I'M NEVER COMMING BACK! ;)

Nice to see that FastPass is now working, is it open all day long now?

I did notice that the pre-show video has changed since they first opened it to when I went two weeks ago, and it looks like it has changed again.

Also, I found out that whenever the ride is delayed, some effects such as the buttons and Hypersleep dont' work correctly. Mabey it's still there, but they need to work out the programing bugs.

Ahhh.................what could have been if they hadn't ####ed with the little buttons. But really, was it going to be the best use of the money to have those bleeping...........er.........I mean beeping.................buttons? At least that is one less bleeping thing subbed out to a vendor.

Can't wait to see, and judge, this attraction for myself in the fall. Thanks for the update.

Just back from WDW.

Rode Space 6 times during previews. Phenominal attraction!

Did not feel sick at all. Rode multiple times in succession and no problems. I love it.

I just rode it on Friday 7/25/2003 and the buttons were making all kinds of noises. i couldn't stop playing with them making myself think i was actually triggering sequences.

Buttons working, buttons NOT working ... they're busy fine tuning!
Jeez! The fourth centrifuge isn't even open yet, is it?

They took down the wall in the front of the pavillion on Monday morning....my dh and son rode it twice on Sunday evening and loved it. I have to wait until next May to ride...so I'll be reserving judgement until then. I look forward to trying it though. I'll have to ask dh and ds about the buttons.

My 3yo disliked the playground....mainly, I think, because her brother was on the ride and not climbing through it with her.

Kidds -

What the blazes are you doing divulging the numeric code!!!

Do any of you that were luck enough to ride MS know what the final verdict is on the size restrictions? I am 6'6 and 275 lbs and have read earlier posts stating that there would be a height limit of around 6'6.

Thanks,
