I hear all the time about people getting sick after riding this.

....Is it really all that bad?

I don't have much experience with "thrill" type rides in the past, but it's been a while since I've been to any type of amusement park/fair/etc. I plan on riding the mountains and EE and all that...

So for all of you who've ridden it, is the orange side really all that bad?

I am a huge thrill ride junkie. I love them, I love the weird wobbly feelings they give you in your tummy.
Mission Space TOTALLY give you an extremely wobbly feeling. It makes you feel VERY dizzy! If you are prone to motion sickness, DON'T DO IT! It will just wind up ruining your day.

My dad takes gravol before going to the parks because sometimes he gets motions sickness, he went on the green side of MS, and said it wasn't too bad.

If you're really wanting to try the orange side, go for it, just keep focussed on the screen in front of you so you don't get disoriented. But I just want to give you a fair warning, it could mess you up for the rest of the day!

That being said, orange or green; choose wisely :D

It's not bad at all. I never really did any thrill rides other than the mountains and test track and RNR. I absolutly love Mission Space.

Just follow the warning to not close your eyes and look around if you think you're going to get sick. After you ride it a couple time you'll feel fine to look around and close your eyes.

I rode Mission:Space 2 years ago (roughly..) and they didn't have the Orange/Green lines. It was the exact same thing as the orange. Then I rode the green and it wasn't as fun. So do whatever you can handle. Just listen to the warnings and you'll be good.

Yeah, I don't have motion sickness, and I'm not claustrophobic either. I don't really have a problems with dizziness. I think that as long as I keep my eyes focused on the screen, I'll be fine...

...Now I just have to swoon my dad to ride it with me!

I LOVE it. ♥ It's my second fav ride. If you have a pretty solid stomach, you'll be fine. Just look forward and DON'T close your eyes.

I can handle just about anything. In my opinion, the Orange side isn't intense enough. (Yes, it's still intense to begin with.)

Since you mentioned that you're not prone to motion sickness or claustrophobic, I'd say go for it.

I did it loads of times last year, and plan on doing it this year. If you look at the screen infront of you you don't feel like you are spinning. If you look to the side you feel like you are spinning.(Trust me I did that test, I didn't make me sick though) I wouldn't do it if you don't like being in small spaces, I tis a really small coparment type thing you are in.

I hope this helps.

its not that bad, but if you dont like spinny types of things you should go on the green side. i loved this ride lol.

Ditto.

It's very intense. Motion sickness is a major issue. The orange side creates authentic G-forces through spinning. There is a main thing in the middle that rotates all the different "Shuttles" and the "Shuttles" rotate on themselves.

No, not at all. I absolutly loved it. It has a feeling that you will never ever forget. In all honesty, I'd say that if you didn't like spinning, it's still a non-issue. I didn't even realize that it spun until I heard that they were making a non-spinning side. However, that being said, you have to listen to what they tell you. I'm sure that a majority of people who got sick closed their eyes, tried to hold their head up, didn't look at the screen, etc. You have to know your own personal limits. I'm quite angered with the green side because they took out the single riders line but that doesn't really fit in this thread so I'll stop complaining.

I road the roughest side. (not sure which colour)

I felt a little claustrophobic when it first started. I felt wobbly after it ended. But I loved it! It was amazing. It felt like I was really up in the air flying.

I liked it.. kinda

well i'll put it this way i DON'T get sick on rides at all
like at all at all but then i go on this and it was the first time ever that a rides made me nauseous:sad2:
i got off and i could not walk it was not fun but i was fine after like 10 minutes

I do really bad with things like a gravitron or any intense spinning, and I'm claustriphobic. But I rode this when it first opened (and was more intense than it is now). It was intense I won't lie, but not SICK intesnse. I felt fine after riding. So that's my view on Mission Space.
I've never done the mission green though....

It's intense but I ride it all the time. If you rode it before they did the orange side/green side it is exactly as it was before.

I don't... understand. Orange and green? I haven't rode Mission Space in about 1 and a 1/2 years (because everytime the line is too long), and it had no choice. I mean, I loved it all of the 7 times I've rode it, but is orange the original one, or harsher?

The orange one is the original/spinning one. The green side has no spinning and is really pathetic.
