Just got back from 7 days FTP and did mission space three times. I have to say it is far and away the BEST attraction at any of the disney resorts. better than TOT, RNRC!
Rode it Wednesday mid AM after breakfast, felt fine! No complaints AT ALL. A fellow rider did comment that she would close her eyes and was PROMPTLY TOLD NOT TO by the CM. Even said that if sh planned to close eyes she WOULD get sick and should opt out.
EVERONE coming off said they loved it. There were numerous cms in the exit hall asking about rider experiences
went back yesterday and rode twice back to back, again, AWESOME!! Rode with only 1 other person and the computer overrides the experience of the button pushing.
the experiences of the gforces and the imagery is a totally new rider to ride interaction. When the liftoff and boosters fire, the force is remarkable. I could feel the skin os my cheeks being pulled back, and you can feel some serious resistance if you try to move your arms or legs during the g-pull sequences.
asked the cm what the back to back one day rider record was and got conflicting reports of 32-36 and 40, although 40 seems difficult b/c of the time
the mechanics of the ride are incredible. two centrifuges, 10 pods per unit 4 riders per pod. When you load and unload you can clearly see all of the mechanics of the operation, cabling, hydraulics, control, etc... cool!
btw there is a hidden mickey, three approx 1" blue glass beads in the crushed glass sidewalk on the way into the building, just happened to catch it to the right of the "pointed" side of the building on the left hand side of the entrance.
any questions, email!!!!
