mission space replaced living seas?

i heard that mission space was going to replace the living seas is that true or was mission space an add on pavilion or did it replace something else?

Mission Space replaced the old Horizons pavilion. Living Seas is on the opposite of the central core.

It will be missed... a great Disney experience, as was the original "Jouney Into Imagination" :

Horizons is gone partly because it lost its GE corporate sponsorship.
And it was not exactly a fantastic "look into the future", but it was a favorite ride of many WDW visitors.
