Mission Space questions

My DD11 wants me to ask you experts about Mission:Space. She wants to know about the different "jobs" each rider has. What are they and what do you do?

You are in a flight simulator with 4 seats, and everyone is assigned a position: Engineer, Navigator, Pilot, or Commander. Two times during the 'mission' each person will be instructed to push a lighted button right below the video screen, to supposedly initiate some sequence, like hypersleep, or retro rockets. You can't miss these buttons, and you will be told when it's time to press them. But, never fear, if you forget or there's no one in the seat, you won't crash and burn (at least not yet!) The computer takes over and does it for you.

Thanks - she is excited to ride the ride (almost as much as DD16 who wants to be an astronaut!).
