I'm on BP medication. DH says that means I don't have high blood pressure, I'm not so sure.
Anyway, just last week, we decided to try it. DH took something for motion sickness, we each enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner at Italy, and then walked over to MS and lo and behold, there was no wait.
OK. You hear and read all sorts of warnings, but I'm determined, and DH said he would go with me, so we went. I was listening so intently to do my "job" I just pressed the button as soon as they said "navigator." I stared straight at the screen and concentrated hard on what they were saying. I was going to enjoy this ride, by golly!! We both felt a little disoriented, very very slightly, for less than 5 minutes afterward. Now that I know what to expect, I will do it again and try to enjoy it more. This first ride was just to prove to myself that I'm not too old for new rides.
Soarin was a piece of cake, for both of us. No meds for DH that night.

corny i know, but i really felt like that!
I'll admit, I am concerned about the claustrophobia. However, I am most concerned with the fact that I have vertigo. I have a tendency to keep spinning for about a week. That said, I REALLY want to try this. Anyone with vertigo done this?
I felt queesy for several hours after the ride and was unable to eat lunch... I tried, but with every bite, I just felt worse. That being said, I'm glad I did it, but I may never do it again... you never know. My wife, who only has trouble with drop rides, was totally unaffected.
