My apologies if this question has already come up about a million times recently, but I've only just got the latest Disney magazine and seen this.
It says in there that the Mission:Space Premiere Party is happening on October 9th. Is this when the ride is actually opening to the public for the first time (apart from if you're lucky enough to be picked to test it) or is it just like a ribbon cutting ceremony and the ride will have been open for a good few weeks beforehand?
We're actually in Orlando for 2 weeks from the 3rd October and were planning on doing Epcot that day. If it's just a ceremony/party then we'll probably still go but avoid that area of the park - we can always ride Mission:Space on another day later in the holiday.
But if it is the official opening day, I'm guessing EVERYONE will be flocking to the park and when the queues for M:S get too long, people will decide to do other things instead, meaning ALL the queues will be longer than normal. So therefore we should really be thinking about doing another park instead.
Anyone got any ideas?
