It really worked out nicely that Green is for Earth and Orange is for Mars (though I guess red would have been even better - despite Mars dirt looking orange in the ride).

I think red is too scary of a color, hence why they used Orange. Mission: SPACE already has enough warnings and such, if they had the RED side it might scare away even more people.

Why choose? Why not do both? That's what we plan to do

Oh I'm going to do both, but I love the sensations from the Orange side and think they could have been a great addition to whatever Green is now, but we'll definitely do both!

We were very excited to hear that Mission Space would reopen before our August 19th trip. I have a FP question though.
I was able to get a FP for our group of 5 but do we all have to do the same version? There was no distinction when making the FP. My boys and I would like to do the Orange Version, while my father and his girlfriend don't like the spinning and want to do green. Are we allowed to split the versions like that? Thanks in advance.

I've been wondering if they are going to change this someday, and make it into two separate attractions. So when you pick your FP, it'll say which one you are reserving it for. If they did this, they could change the split as needed, based on FP demand. Maybe early, have it 2/2, but later in the day, and EMH, when there are less little kids, make it 3/1.

Not a bad idea. I guess this would have been the time to do that. Maybe something for a future refurb?

They still could. Those who already have a MS FP will get one of those emails saying your FP was changed to MSE or MSM, and if they "guess" wrong you go online to swap it.

Plus, it would give the appearance that there is now an additional attraction at Epcot (MSM and MSE would be listed as two separate rides).

I was disappointed I had to choose between Figment or Nemo for my third fastpass. What a Sophie's Choice! Thankfully now I don't have to choose, since I got my fastpass for Mission Space on 8/19.

Got my FPs! Saw the email and modified my FPs from Land to Mission Space around 3pm today.
