Mission Space: Milder version?

I have read several articles about Mission Space supposedly opening a milder version area this year, but I wasn't able to find any real concrete info on this. Has anyone been on Mission Space recently and seen or ridden the "less instense" version of this ride?

I have done both, I like the green version (the newer one) a lot. Feels very close to the original, without the 'strange' feeling afterward.

I agree. I rode the green version two weeks ago with a first timer and he liked it. Now that we're over that hump, we'll do the orange (original) version next time.

we went last month. Really liked it. I would never be able to ride the original. I get very motion sick and it would ruin the whole day I'm sure.

No, the green version, IMO, is a bit more intense that Soarin'. It has more bumps and rocking, like Star Tours or Body Wars, where Soarin' is perfectly smooth. It is also more confining, a smaller space, where Soarin' is huge, wide open. Star Tours and Body Wars also both have a larger cabin. You can get an idea of the size of the cabin though before you get on the ride. To me, the green MS is like a small cabined Star Tours.
