Mission Space - How intense is this????

I know everyone is different, but I found M:S lame after all of the hype. I don't see what the big deal is. Even my 8yo ds said the same.

We rode Mission Space a few weeks ago. The spinning didn't get to me but I freaked out a little at first because once the shut the door, the space inside the cockpit is very confined. Definitely not for the claustrophobic. After the ride started, I was fine. The massive amounts of air conditioning blasting you in the face definitely help. I never saw the barf bags, but my wife told me about them after the ride was over.

I don't think it's too "intense" for that age... My 6 year old rode it for the first time last week and loved it! He's the kind of kid that will ride anything, so if yours enjoy other "thrill" rides, I'm sure they'll like this one. :cool1:

I read a trip report recently where someone said the G forces on MS had been toned down because too many people were getting sick. I haven't seen that same info anywhere else so I can't verify its true.

I don't think that's true, I've ridden MS several times from it's opening to just a few weeks ago, and it hasn't changed at all.

I never expeirienced motion sickness until i rode this however it was mild (my motion sickness not the ride). Other than that awesome ride!

It isn't as intense as they make it out to be. I thought it was funny that they warn you a dozen times before you actually ride it, and when you go into the briefing room, you are warned again, and afterwards they ask for the people who chickened out (but they put it nicely, asking for the non-riders) and half the room ends up leaving! (Atleast when we went on!) If you are afraid of confined spaces, I don't recommend going on, as the space is extremely tight. Look at the screen, don't look around or you will definitely become a bit queasy. As for the G-force, that is what scared me the most. At first I was having trouble breathing from it and I got really scared because I had heard an instance of a little girl dying on Body Wars. But the ride is pretty neat, not as great and intense as they make it out to be. As long as you look at the screen and keep your mind focused as to what is going on in the ride you should be fine.

I see alot of SPINNING in people's posts. Obviously, I guess... I should stay clear of this one. Since seeing spinning or closing my eyes and feeling spinning do me in. I'm not too found of intense G's either. But I do like Rockn Rollercoaster and sometimes TOT. I guess maybe because any spin or corkscrew in RNR is very quick, before I notice its gone.
