I heard someone mention MS:Green, and I'm looking for more info on this. Specifically, what is the height requirement on it?

Thanks!

Hi,

We did the green channel of Mission Space in December - I'm sorry I don't remember if they had a height restriction for it but I think it would probably be the same as the orange channel - 44".

I was told that the main difference in green & orange is that there is no spinning on the green. DS, 6, loved it and made us do it again and again - even wanted to go back to Epcot another day to do it & Soarin again :rotfl:

Tracey :)

All the restrictions are the same for Mission Space but the green one is calmer meaning less spinning which a lot of people encountered when it opened.

We were there last month. I took DD5 over to see if she could ride. She didn't make the height requirement of 44". (Both the orange and green sides have the same height restrictions.) However, the CM standing beside the height indicator told me they were going to change the green side and the height requirement would be lowered. I don't know what they're planning or when, but thought it was interesting.

Boo :guilty:
Ds is 5 and 40 inches and he soooo badly wants to do mission space. I thought Mission Space Green might be an option for him. thanks anyway.

anyone have anymore up-to-date information on the height requirement for mission space green side??? did they lower it or is it still 44 inches?? anyone at the parks right now to check it out for us?? :) thanks!!

That's interesting. I thought the reason for the height requirement isn't really about the intensity of the attraction but about the restraints. So they would redo the restraints on the green side? There are kids that do make the neight requirements but are still too small to reach the controls to participate in the ride to Mars. Wonder if something would be done there as well?

The height requirements are related to the restraints for when it leans forward/back. Someone only 40" might slip out of the restraints and thus poses a safety concern.

I love simulators but this was too much for me. After riding it and dh took dd on test track while I watched ds, I threw up which is not like me and it took a few days to recover.

 Groovee - you got real sick on the Green version? EEKS!! I have yet to ride it - I passed up past opportunites because there was only the one original version and I get motion sickness on rides like Star Tours. My DF (will be DH when we go  ) wants to go on Mission Space soooo badly with me.. but I am afraid I will get sick...

Anyone else have similar experience?? Help........

I'm so psyched about the green version! I always wanted to try Mission Space but was afraid to do so. Spinning rides don't normally bother me, but I've read that this one's pretty intense. I also have a slight heart condition that doesn't pose any problems, but I didn't want to take a chance. Now I still get to experience Mission Space but without all the worries!
