has anyone taken/seen younger kids on this ride? i have a 4 yo who rides most everything, wondering how he would do, if tall enough?

I'd like to know this too!! We have a 4,6 and 8 yr old. I'm wondering about the 4 and 6 yr old, if it would be too much for them.

I'm wondering also. I heard the height requirement is 44", which is 4" more than most of the other "thrill" rides. That leads me to believe that it would be pretty rough for the smaller kids.

My daughter at four years old was 44 inches. Now our new trip, she will be 5 (almost 6) and 48 inches.

MS wasn't open then but we are going to take her in a few weeks

I would personally not take my 4 year old on Mission Space. I love the ride, but it is very intense. Of course, you know your kids best. I would really recommend that a parent ride alone first and then decide about your young children.

Would a four or five year old know about hitting the correct buttons, not turning the head and such for this ride? I think you have to be able to follow instructions for this. You only get four people in the cabin that is pretty tight. A younger kid might not even get the drift of the ride. I know when I did the post show computer stuff afterwards, there were some younger kids who were chosen to be astronauts with their father. They had a hard time taking the uploaded information from Mission Control and loading it to the ship.

I am very interested in this too.
I have a just turned 4 year old son (OK, he turns 4 tomorrow) but he is already 43.5" at last measurement.

We are going down again in December & he really wants to try Mission Space. He is really into rockets & space.
I am torn on whether or not to take him on there.

He is a 'daredevil' & has gone on every ride in Disney that he is tall enough for, even Tower of Terror & has done perfectly fine.

I think I will go on it first & just see how the ride actually is, but then again I didn't think he would be able to handle ToT but after he kept begging me & begging me, let I him ride it & he was fine. (although I was almost expecting him to freak out) so I guess you never know.

I would like to hear from others who have taken their younger child on this & how they did.

My concern would be if a small child would handle the physical effects of this ride. The g forces really hit you and don't go away.If they look away from the screen they could sense the spinning and become nauseous quickly. I think its a good idea for a parent to ride first and decide. Heck, this ride isn't even handled well by all adults !
