Mission Space & a 5-year-old

I have a 5-year-old girl who might (might) just barely be tall enough to ride Misson Space. If I let her ride, I'll only let her ride the TAME one, but I'd still like to know if anyone else has had a child ride Mission Space?

Also, is the height requirement the same for both versions of the ride? Allearsnet has it at 44".

Any input would be great! Thanks!

My 5 year old did the tame version last week and loved it and she is not a thrill seeker!
It is 44" for both sides.

My 5 yr old rode the original side and had no problems. He was just tall enough to make it.

How tame is the "tame" version? Last time I was there, I was too nervous to ride it, but DH loved it!

Green Team is identical to Orange Team except that Green doesn't spin ... the cabin just jostles around and leans and tips a little. It's a smoother ride than Star Tours, to give you a comparison.

My 6 year old loved it.

My ds went on it at 4 (he's very tall!) and he did the tame version. It is one of his favorite rides.

The tame version is very tame. Its not even as intense as say Star Tours so you kid should be just fine

My five year old rode the tame version last year and really enjoyed it. The height req't is the same for both versions.

Is the tame version new? I went on Mission Space 2 years ago and didn't know there were two versions - I loved it, but I hope I didn't go on the tame version accidently. That said, glad to hear that there is a tame version now - cause my 4 year old would make that height limit!

Wow! I really appreciate the quick responses. Like I said, I'm not sure she's quite tall enough (it's very close) but if she meets the height requirement I think I'll send her and DH on tame version. Me, I like the wild stuff!

I might try the tame version when I go. I have a weak stomach so I hope I will be okay. Might take some medicine before I go to the park that day.
