Well, I was going to wait til April - but I couldn't wait any longer. I booked my flight and 3 day/4 night trip back to WDW in late October. My intention is to keep the trip a secret from my girlfriend. She will freak out when she finds out. She will freak out even more when we get there and I propose to her :)

230 days+ and counting!!

Congrats in advance. I just booked my flight today for an October trip. It will be my first trip to the world as a married man.

How romantic!!! :lovestruc:love::bride: Congrats!!!!

So, can we have some more details, please??? Like, where do you plan to do it? And when-when you first get there, the last day, etc?

And when do you plan to tell her about the trip??

i'll tell you folks all about it tomorrow :) right now i'm "sneaking" on wdwinfo - :)

well, i'm still not sure when or how i will do it. i dont know if i should do it the moment we get to the park and walk down main street, or at the end of the day during the fireworks. i'm going to try to keep the trip a secret until the day of our anniversary (two days before the trip) - i will arrange with her work to get her the time off and make sure its kept secret! the only thing i'll have to do is make sure i get the mail before she does!!

aside from that, i'm open to suggestions on how/where/when to do it!! :)

Ohhhh! I vote for at night w/ fireworks. Or if not w/ fireworks then, near the castle during the day. Yes? No? PS - You are my hero and do you have any brothers? :lmao::rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS
I hope my boyfriend does this for me one day, that would be amazing! What a sweet guy you are...!

Okay, some ideas...
PUBLIC: If you want to attract some attention while doing it, I would say do it on main street sometime during Wishes. Maybe right before or as it's starting so you can watch the fireworks together.

PRIVATE: If you want it to be a little more romantic and secluded you can first have dinner at O'hana or the Luau, stroll the Poly's beach for a little, then relax on either one of the hammocks or swings. You can see Wishes perfectly from the beach there....so it would be a perfect time to propose!

No matter how you decide to do it it will be great, after all you are at the happiest place in the world!

Have you thought about where you want to stay or any places you will be dining on this trip?

Good luck and Congrats!!!! :thumbsup2

How wonderful :) Congrats - married life is GREAT!

Just an idea for you - a friend of mine proposed in MK and he got a set of ears stitched to say "Marry Me" instead of a name. Keep us posted on what you decide.

Awww - I am a sucker for suprise Disney engagements. No matter how, when, where you do it - she is one lucky girl! It is Disney, no matter what it will be full of magic and romance! :wizard:

But, if you have special memories of New Orleans - maybe you should incoporate that somehow? Like along the river at POFQ? And let her know - that was the trip that made you realize she was the one.

DH and I were married at the Boardwalk - so I know that you guys will always hold Disney World in a special place in your heart!

A big CONGRATS to you both!

Congrats!! My son proposed in front of the castle in the morning in October 2008. He was too nervous to wait any longer. He also was afraid he would lose the ring if he waited to do it during Wishes!!

They went back on their honeymoon in 2009.

Make sure you alert a photopass photographer. That's what we did. He got some great pictures.

We'll be at POP Oct 23-Oct 30. What day were you planning on proposing?

Aww, how exciting!!! We honeymooned there, it was so magical but can only imagine how a proposal there would have been!! Keep us posted on the details!!:goodvibes

I was hoping we'd get to see your proposal, but we'll be at EPCOT on the 26th. Make sure you pick up some "Just Engaged" buttons at MK or at the desk at POP.
