Mission: Eat churro's till i explode with cinnamon sugary goodness
Disclaimer:. i don't guarantee this pre trp/trip report to be interesting and or humerous in any sense. As i am a boring, rambling person of sorts. Oh yah and i fail at english so expect run on sentances, comma splices and all that fun stuff!
Prologue:
I love disney that and i love pooh bear. I have a stuffed pooh bear but don't let that fool you. He is in fact very real and he is the original pooh bear (only in stuffed form to throw you all off) he talks to me at night and tells me about how he and walt were great friends. How when he was a young bear he sold the copyrights of his name and all that to walt for a pot of hunny. He doens't regret it though so he's very happy living in my bedroom with his friends (yes i own the stuffed versions of all his best friends except for piglet ;_
So that brings to light why as the title of this trippie. I am on a mission to find a stuffed piglet for pooh bear. As he tosses and turns at night and mumbles "piglet...piglet" from time to time.
Anyways my dear b/f of one whole year! *applause* basically threw around the idea of taking me to disneyland for my christmas/anniversary present. I didn't really think much of it in the begining cause well. He's mean to me sometimes and jokes around with me a lot so i didn't want to get my hopes up. Well as christmas grew nearer he became more persistant about the idea, actually throwing around dates in which we would go. He was thinking about a 3 day, two night getaway to disneyland. He works alot and has a hard time requesting days off so i still didnt' think too much about it.
So anyways fast forward a couple weeks, flight centre had a deal. $359 dollars for 3 nights at the castle inn and suites + airfare per person. Now that sounds like a might good deal. Throw in the fact that everyone plays at kids' price. He was sold. So he started moving stuff around finding out which days he could get off etc and came up with this. He would HAVE to work on friday, so we'd fly early in on saturday and then spend sun, mon there and fly back late on tuesday. Now while i was flipping through some brochures i noticed that certain hotels had 4th night free. So i immediatly called up dbf and casually mentioned flying in on friday night and then spending the free night and then we could spend 3 full days at disney. He eventually agreed to this plan, so off it was to flightcentre for me for a quote!
I skipped/walked/ran to flight centre the next day and talked to a very nice lady named lauren. We joked, we laughed, she gave me the trip for free. *swish back into reality* Okay so it didnt' go that way, actually it was pretty far from that. She informed me that they were getting very booked up and there was basically 4 rooms left at the hotel, and 4 seats left on the flight we wanted both ways. Essentially "book now or your screwed" Now i don't know if this was a marketing ploy or not but all i know was that faster than you can say "WHAT YOUR NOT GOING TO DISNEYLAND?!?!?!?!" I was on the phone with dbf and convincing him to book now. So 10 minutes later, he was double checking with his boss and then called me back and gave me the Okay to go book it. Yay!!! So i did. About 30 minutes later, i had basically spent 1682 dollars of dbf's money and in exchange gotten 4 nights and best western pavillions, airfare from alaska, supershuttle vouchers and 3 day park hopper tickets. Oh and travel insurance, which dbf didn't kill me for but um yeah we paid 152 dollars for insurance instead of the 20 bucks that dbf would of gotten from bcaa. Cause I DIDNT" KNOW!!! i assumed it was sold as part of the package, but apparently it was optional.
Oh yah and the other little thing i didnt' tell him about was, the 4th night free promotion, the lady had no clue what i was talking about...so long story short we paid for that fourth night. And on top of that he managed to get friday off so we got an earlier flight.
So now the plan is this:
Friday Jan 26th: 12:15pm flight to anaheim, Supershuttle to best western pavillions. Pick up the park hoppers from will call/ticket booth. Eat at DTD and shop.
Saturday Jan 27th: Disneyland, hopefully we'll hit all of these rides, Peter pan, winnie the pooh, alice, matterhorn and other fantasyland rides, the off too DCA in the afternoon for soaring, california screaming and lunch, then back to Disneyland for more rides, and hopefully Wishes and fantasmic.
Sunday Jan 28th: Disneyland and DCA again, Rides that we've missed or want to do again, hoping to catch a couple shows, the parade for sure. Get dbf a birthday button cause his bday is on the 22nd. And if i can i want to get him a bucket!
Monday Jan 29th: Last day at disney, slow day, taking it all in. Meet and Greet chars, ride our favorite rides.
Tuesday Jan 30th: Our flight is scheduled for 9pm so we need to be there 3 hours prior, get picked up by the supershuttle. Probably hang around DTD
That is the plan folks, thought right now dbf wants to go somewhere else...like universal for a day and do the last day on tuesday. But um i'm going to pout and whine my way into getting three full days at disney.
The Cast:
Me (21): Luves Disney, acts like a four year old at times. My favorite disney movies are basically ALL of them but i do particularily love the princesses. Beauty and the beast, cinderella, little mermaid, snow white, sleeping beauty. I've watched most of the classics and know almost all the songs. I can sing "offkey" and i do the actions to winnie the pooh songs. Pooh bear is my current favorite silly ole bear. This will be my first real trip to disney, as the last one happened more than 10 years ago and involved one day, a lot of relatives and doing nothing that i wanted.
DBF (27): Has been to disney several times including the world. But i assume with family/friends. He hasn't been there in a couple years and is looking forward to this vacation. He works hard and is respected at his workplace. So they don't know the silly childish side to him. I belive that he will enjoy disney and he's really looking forward to basically making me happy and watching me enjoy disney. He's a keeper just for that.
Us as a couple: Together we let the kid in us out. He taunts me and i taunt him back. We end disputes with tickling fights and headbutts. I throw a tantrum, he'll throw one right back. It's a loving and fun relationship. We can also be very serious and work through problems together, reasoning with each other. but mostly having fun. He talks to me like i'm a child, and i'll talk like a child to him. We're wierd like that, but that's how we work and so far it's working out very well.
Material things we want to posess and food we want to devour:
Churros with churros with churros and churros with a churro topping.
A stuffed piglet for pooh bear
Bread bowl soups from pacific warf
The Monte crisco
Anything mickey shaped
Anthing related to pooh bear candy wise, ie tigger tails
That pretty much sums up everything, in 5 days i'll be in the land of the mouse. Thanks for reading my pre trip report. And i will not apologize for my lack of grammer and rambling as i did previously state it in the disclaimer and you read all this on your own accord.
