We had no reservations with taking our DS out of Kindergarten this Sept.
Funny story though with that. We left early on a Sunday, just days after Hurricane Ike hit Texas. Sunday afternoon sever winds remaining from Ike hit out town taking out 75% off the electricity in town. A week later we when we returned home the town was just trying to make sure that all schools would have electricity to resume school that following Monday. So DS missed no school. And if we hadn't been out of town DH would have never had a vacation that week because he works for the electric company. Even after a week he still went back to work and had to pull several double shifts until all power was back up. We picked the perfect time to go and didn't even know it.

) so they'll be making that day up the week we're gone now.
I'll have to update when we get back because I think we're going to get in trouble with the school......even though he's in a Voluntary program!
