Missing food at Disney

I miss the French Toast Loaf at Main St Bakery.

I miss the entire menu at Bonfamiles restaurant. Blackened prime rib for dinner and the peanut butter and jelly pancake roll for breakfast.

I see that Liberty Tree is not going to be offering Crab cakes anymore. I cancelled my ressie. Sorry I was going to oop and with out the cakes why?:confused3

The German potato salad at the Plaza. I have read that it has been removed from the menu.

Where did you see that?!? If that turns out to be true, it'll be back to the drawing board on my MK lunch plans. :sad2:

We had the spicy cheese (not cream cheese) stuffed pretzel at MGM in May (2009)...hope they are still there in Oct...

I miss:

- Fried chicken sandwich at Tusker House and the plates of actual chocolate cake slices instead of the prepackaged ones.
- Rotisserie chicken at Tusker House
- The stir fried green beans at 'Ohana
- The fried rice at 'Ohana
- Actually being able to eat your meal in more than the 20 minutes they seem to allow you now at 'Ohana
- the Nestle chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. We can get them at home, but we really miss them at WDW
- DS misses the cornbread muffins at FTBBQ

The current menu listed for LTT on the Disney web site does not have crab cakes. It has "This Season's Fresh Catch."

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Scalloped potatoes from Ohana.

Chocolate macadamia nut tart from Kona

Strawberry swirl from MK

Big shrimp in cocktail from Le Cellier (they now have mushy little ones):sad2:

....and I know this is not a food item darn it! ....but I have to just say it, the characters at LTT!!!!!

ohhhh MY GOD!! They got rid of the Chocolate macadamia nut tart at Kona?!!?! NOOOO!

Simba paw prints-they were my favorite!!!Beaver tails and also disney should get rid of the healthy stuff like whole wheat buns cmon you're on vacation!!!!

For me its the french toast loaf(MSB), and the peanut butter mouse brownie (Pecos Bills) Ive learned to make the french toast loaf here at home and we have it about once every other month and my family LOVES it, they will ask me to make it but I miss having it at WDW.. PB is my fave place to have lunch at the MK on our first day and I dont want yogurt as my dessert, I eat yogurt for breakfast every day at home.. Carrot cake is ok..

Oh and I miss the potatos at Ohana they were the best!

Well, they added Poutine back as a side item at Le Cellier. They won't let you sub it out with an entrée. We didn't order it when were were there. Our decision was based on the waiters recommendation that "it sucks".

We were told they make it with a large orange cheddar cheese curd that they first melt then pour on the fries, they then top it off with duck gravy. This is not what I would call poutine. When the waiter asked how we made it (use white cheddar cheese curd, poutine sauce, and fresh cut fries), he said he wanted to warn us so we wouldn't be disappointed.

I didn't know French Toast loaf was gone!! I'll ad that to my missed list. My biggest I miss item is Elephant Ears from the bakery in France. I seriously can't find anything like it!!

The french toast loaf at Main Street Bakery was my favorite. Now, we just stick with the huge cinnamon rolls.

CS at Tusker House
Lox and Bagels at Starring Rolls Cafe DHS

This whole thread just makes me sad.
Not that I really need any particular item. Heck, I haven't really thought of a lot of them in years. But now that I read the thread, I'm feeling all nostalgic and sad.

My list

the MYO mickey crispy treat at goofy's with a ton of toppings before it became the price of a full meal somewhere else.

Fresh made flour tortilla bowls for the taco salad at the mexico cantina (last time I checked they were premade corn cardboard tasting crap like a boxed taco shell).

Hand tossed pizza with the works at POFQ food court. AWESOME thing. The mass produced machine made pizzas are inedible.

mainstreet candy store..last I checked they didn't hand make things anymore. Last year the whole area where they used to make things for everyone to watch was all blocked off. It was always great to watch them hand make the peanut brittle and fudge then get some FRESH!

oh..this goes WAYYYYYY back....when only the MK existed, if you got juice in the park, it came in a plastic container shaped like the fruit that was in it and you drank out of it with the attached straw. It was before juice boxes existed. The OJ was in a plastic orange. The grape juice was in a plastic cup shaped like a bunch of grapes...that was my favorite.

Can you tell that my issues surround all the mass produced products that no longer have any 'love' in them?

I know DH would say The Marvelous at the French Bakery.

Maya Grill use to have a beef tip dinner that was wonderful. Not on the menu when we were there last. :(

Soup in a BREADBOWL at Columbia Harbor House. It's just not the same without the bread to dip!
