Missing food at Disney

mainstreet candy store..last I checked they didn't hand make things anymore. Last year the whole area where they used to make things for everyone to watch was all blocked off. It was always great to watch them hand make the peanut brittle and fudge then get some FRESH!

So they aren't making the peanut brittle and rice krispie treats there anymore? That used to be one of my favorite things to see. I was even telling my husband about it last week because I couldn't wait for him to see it on our upcoming trip.

My son misses the Sour Apple Goofy Suckers. He worked on one of these bad boys for about 4 days one time(yes, I let him keep it in a ziploc and carry it around). In Nov we couldn't find one anywhere, I 've even called their number, and at DLR too, and they seem to have d/c'ed them.

I miss the Ranch Dressing at Garden Grill
and the Apple Cider Vinagrette with Tomatoes and onions at THe Whispering Canyon

I really miss Welch's grapejuice from MK served cold over ice. Very refreshing!

My DH misses the buffalo steak at AP. He won't go there anymore. I miss the beaver tails and the fettucini alfredo. We used to have it twice each trip.

For me it's the strawberry swirl at MK. (sigh)
Also miss the shrimp dish at 'Ohana and the deep-fried wonton chips there.

I didn't read through all the responses, but I miss the original Citrus Swirl. It was soft-frozen orange juice swirled with vanilla ice cream, now it's orange & vanilla ice cream swirled together. Just not as good!

I also miss the Figaro Fries.

So I saw on the menu for Boulangerie Patisserie that they had elephant ears but in actuality they don't anymore?! I was looking forward to getting some! Where in the World can I get elephant ears?

I know DH would say The Marvelous at the French Bakery.

Maya Grill use to have a beef tip dinner that was wonderful. Not on the menu when we were there last.

WHAT??? they got rid of the marvelous????

I've been recommending it to everyone!!!

As for the Beaver Tails the franchise (Trader Bob's) was bought by Pepsi thus Disney flushed that one ! NO Pepsi ....

Now for the truth with Alfredo's . I asked when I was in New York at Christmas. Seems that Disney didn't want to offer a fair deal to Alfredo's, thus another change... FLUSH

I am amazed how some say that nothing menu wise has changed ???
What some call the dumbing down of menus ....

I had no idea that the Twinkie Tiramisu was no longer offered at Pop Century. I was really looking forward to having one on our trip in two weeks. Not cool! In fact, I was just telling someone about it the other day.

I only had the French Toast Loaf once and fell in love!!! It was gone when we were there in August.

I also miss the skillets at LTT. Back in the early 80's I had chicken breast, rice pilaf and veggies with a yummy butter-lemon sauce in this cute little cast iron skillet. I don't know of it were truly as delicious as I recall, or just special because it was my very first sit down meal at WDW! I also liked the ice cold pewter looking mugs that the drinks were served in.

Wow! I just had a flash back to the past on this one. I completely forgot about the grapejuice until you just mentioned it. Thanks for the memory!

I miss the handwiches from MK. Does anyone remember the handwiches?

I also miss the old children's menu choices. We have to dine carefully because my grandson is not a fan of "normal" kiddie foods like chicken nugget type meals, mac with sauce etc. Anyone else miss these?

They were sort of cone shaped bread filled with sandwich stuff... I liked the Shrimp Salad...

They were served at the Land Pavilion before they changed it over to Sunshine Seasons...
