Missing etsy thread?

what happened to the etsy thread? I can't even find it in a search?

Same thing happened a while back.

For some reason, the moderators have decided it's okay for people to post their ebay seller names, but not etsy seller names.

Dunno the logic, but I'm guessing that's why the thread is no longer visible - it's been deleted by a moderator.

Wondering what the logic in that is....if eBay sellers can post their id's, why not Etsy?

I guess I was one of the peeps responsible for getting it deleted....thought a link to my shop wouldn't be kosher but never imagined merely providing my id was against the rules...

I may be wrong, but I think you can have you ebay ID in your sig, but you're not allowed to say what you sell or link to it.

If someone did that on the Etsy thread, that is probably why it was deleted.

But there is a whole thread that lists WHAT people are selling on ebay that has been on here for years? Not just what their name is, but what they actually have. I put my etsy name in the thread, and wanted to go back and heart some of the stores that others had put their names....just spreading some love around etsy.

Weird.....not quite sure why the thread was deleted, not just locked....since the ebay one is locked, but you can still see 173 pages of what people have to sell. And etsy is stuff that people have actually MADE, not just crap you have laying around your house.

So how 'bout it Mods....a little clarification about how one is different from the other.

The long running ebay thread was locked and shut down yesterday. The Etsy one probably suffered the same fate.
