Missing DVC Slider answer from Member Services

Eh - just something to cajole you is what came to my mind immediately. They weren't that limited although it's possible they are currently out of them. Thought I read a recent report that someone received them with their bands.

From the other thread, some people are continuing to get them. And people reported there being a whole drawer filled with them at checkin.

I bet the MS person was going by the info from 2014 on the website. I've been known to be wrong, but that's what I'm assuming. I just don't trust resort info given by someone NOT at the resort, or by just one resort's CM, or by just one CM at a resort. They don't have broad enough, or specific enough, knowledge.

I got our bands a few weeks ago for trip in 2 weeks and got two sets for two different resorts. We didn't get any sliders either. I have some old ones we will use. I figured they just ran out.

Guess we will use OLD SLIDERS if we don't get them for our upcoming October trip!

I received sliders with nine bands about a month ago, but no sliders in a package that arrived yesterday. Looks like they may be out. Either they're just temporarily out, or the "limited supply" lasted 15 months.

Bummed!!! Was looking forward to receiving then for our August trip. We received the AP ones back in December and wanted to add these to them. Hoping it is a temporary thing.

Ask for them when you check in. You'd be surprised what they can pull out of a drawer. When the magic bands were relatively new we had heard they were giving out sliders. It was never offered until we asked. Might work for you.

We stayed at AK Kidani in June, reserving well in advance, and did not get them.

In June, we got ours at the front desk at OKW.

Just got them 2 weeks ago. I'd recommend checking the box and pulling everything out. 2 of them were in the cardboard holder.

We stayed at AKL Kidani in June as well and we received them.

I got them for two (split) stays in July, but did not get them in a box that arrived on Friday.

3 resort split stay in a few weeks. First two sets of bands arrived no sliders. I just figured they were all out. I removed the dozen sliders from bands I had hanging in a bag upstairs and deactivated them all leaving me with 24 deactivated bands and 15 active bands. Total PIA, but too much trouble to bother calling and asking them not to send them...spent way too much time on phone , hold, etc. BTW, if you have too many bands you will start to have problems with them. In May we could not get our doors to open, I was told it was my fault as I had too many active bands on my account.

Just ask at the front desk. They have them there. Maybe they will come out with a new slider now.
