missing disney :(

All I can say is that my counter isn't looking quite so bad now. As we left the Polynesian last August, dh told me he was interested in DVC and had given them our phone number! 2 months later and we own!!! Thank heaven he finally 'got' it about WDW. Now he even starts conversations about going to WDW when before he just rolled his eyes. I'm busy planning our first trip to BWV in 12/04 and then again in 8/05. Gotta love those AP's:hyper:

You moved there?

You lucky things!
What's it like? I'm considering doing a gap year (year out) in Orlando after university (college) and would love to know if it all stays the same... as well as if you can get an annual pass, and how much it is etc.

Main question: is it worth it?!

We had our Annual Passes from our February trip, so we didn't have to buy them when we got here. I guess there are Florida resident seasonal passes, but those, I believe, have blackout dates. I am not a fan of blackout dates.

We did not move here to be near Disney... Entirely... We moved to Florida for a change in climate. I was sick of driving 120 miles a day in the snow and ice.

It is too early to tell if it is worth it, but it sure feels nice to sit on the beach in November.

Aww, thanx Ted and Holly! That's the first time anyone's actually replied to me directly before! Awww!

I'm going at Christmas to visit my parents, who live 1/2 an hour away from WDW. My kids (4 and 6) are constantly asking "When are we going to Nana and Papa's?", both because thier grandparents spoil them and because they know they're going to get some Disney time when we're there.

I'm especially looking forward to our annual family trip to Chef Mickey's with my parents and my brother and his family (who live in the Orlando area as well). This will be our 4th year and it's one of the few times that my entire immediate family is together, so I can't wait!

The one thing that makes the waiting worse is that my parents are Florida annual passholders and they'll occassionally call and say "We were over at MGM today" or something and I'll get annoyed that I missed out!
