While this may not be the correct place to post this, I don't know where else to put it so I'll try here. I like the look of pleated slacks but obviously that is not the current style. I can't find them anywhere but I still want some. I wear an 8 or 10 and the pleated look is just better for me. Does anyone have any idea where I might find them? Reasonably priced would be even better! :goodvibes TIA.

JCP has pleated pants - Liz Baker brand. They run about $25 a pair.

You must have great figure- I'm an 8 and pleated pants make me look like a Macy's balloon! They give me "front butt"!!:lmao:

Donna: I, too, am having a difficult time with the fashions today. I used to buy the Liz Baker line at JCP as they had the exact pleated pants that you talk about. I was so disappointed to learn that they discontinued that line. I cannot find misses pleated pants anywhere. I told my husband, I am ready to start my own designer line and call it "Timeless". Misses pleated dress pants and matching blazers for working women. In dark and neutral colors (navy, black, grey, browns, taupes, etc.). What are fashion designers thinking today? I absolutely despise the low riding , short-zippered pants that make my belly/hips look like a muffin top! I am not a big woman.....but I hate how that type of pant makes me look. Not to mention, they do not feel comfortable. I am in my 50's....where are the designers who want to cater to us?

Talbots has a pretty pair of pleated silk and linen ones out right now, the 6 ft tall super skinny model on the site looks amazing in them . My mom tried them on and while she is slim, she does have a little tummy, the pleats made her look poochy, we promptly put them back and went with another style.

Try sag Harbor at Sear website. They have some that say flat front , but they do have a cpl of small pleats.

My Mom and I spent a week buying her new pants recently, it was an ordeal .

I really wish someone would do what you just said - start making dress pants (and even casual pants) that look nice and feel comfortable. Another thing I have noticed is the tops nowadays are all long. I don't like long tops but it seems that's mostly what is out there. I really need some new clothes but I have not been able to find what I want and what fits me and looks nice on me.

I'm going to look on the Sears website and see if I can find something as suggested by the PP.

LL bean has pleated twill too .

Donna:

Try JMS (Just my size) if you are a 14 or above. They have some pleated pants that even come in talls. I've ordered some and I hope the quality is what I want.

My size is 10. I'm probably going to try L.L. Bean. Just haven't done it yet.

My mom likes a store called 'Christopher & Banks'. They might have pleated pants.

Try a thrift store! They were popular at one time and I'm sure a lot of women have donated them since they are out of style now. I know I did, I was a size 6 and looked huge in them, so I was glad to be rid of them.

Actually, lots of young fashionable girls are wearing pleated front styles. In not too long, you'll be seeing them in stores again! :) :)

I've been hoping for that and waiting. Everything comes back around.

You're not alone -- a bunch of extra fabric in front fails to flatter even super-thin models, so what chance do us normal- sized people have?

Jumping in here to see what anyone's recommendations are because I am always searching. I am not petite by any standards and have a 5 ft 9 frame to go with it. My sizes range around 16. I can't stand the "flat front" pants because they show every bulge. Pair that with a shorter top and it is a fashion disaster for me. I am also always searching for longer shirts since I am tall.

My favorite pants were from JCPenney (Worthington line) about 4 years ago. They were wide legged, had a few pleats and a wide waist band. The material was wonderful because it was easy to dress up. I bought every color they had and wish I had bought multiple pairs of each color because I can't find anything like them anywhere. I have never had the problem with balloon front others have mentioned when wearing pleats except with a pair of Liz Baker pants several years ago. The pleats on the Worthington brand - paired with the wide waist band - provided a very tailored look.

Pendleton has seasonless wool pleated pants. Basic colors and traditional styles with jackets to match. They are perfect for business, last for years and years and never go out of style.

I am looking for the relaxed fit Lee pants. Can't find those any where either. Find some that fit and they quit making them.
