On-line this morning to try to get an AKL Kidani Savannah View Studio for 1/1 - 1/3. Got through at 8:00 on the dot and was shown availability and immediately clicked "Select this resort". By the time the next page loaded, someone had already booked the last available studio for 1/1. At least I have a reservation at OKW, but I was really looking forward to a couple of nights at AKL......

I hope it was another DISer that beat me out. If so, congrats!

Did you waitlist? My guess is that it will come through! I think some may want to move from Kidani and go somewhere else!

Unfortunately, I can't waitlist yet. I have two other waitlists for our trip in August that are larger needs. We've stayed at OKW before, so we know we will enjoy it. I was just hoping to surprise my DD with the savannah room for the last couple of days of our New Year's trip.

The only resort with an available studio for New Year's Day is Saratoga, so I think my only chance is a pure cancellation. I won't give up hope though.....

Check the online frequently. Don't just wait for the wait list. I've done it and I have always gotten what I needed.

Keep trying it can happen. I wanted to stay at BCV for a few nights during F&W. Waitlisted the last two nights of the trip but was checking periodically. Well the first two nights opened so I booked those and cancelled the waitlist.
