Missed banking deadline

Newbie question.

If you miss the banking deadline (ie 4 months before UY) then is there ANYTHING you can do to bank them?

If you call DVC can they do it, or is it once the deadline is missing you have use/rent them before the end of the UY?

Before this pandemic, they would sometimes spread some pixie dust and let people bank late as a one time exception.

However, with all going on, I don’t think we will see any variation from the rule and they will be pretty strict for a long time,

If you miss the deadline, one must use them by the end of the UY or deposit to RCI.

Do you think that would also apply if you bought, say 100 direct and wanted to have the same UY as current points?

Newly purchased direct points are always given the late banking exception.

It allows them to sell new contracts all year, and it is written in to the Home Resort Rules and Regulations,

They will also put back borrowed points if someone buys a direct contract for the same membership that includes current UY points that can be used for. Reservation already made,

Definitely perks they offer to buy direct! Of course, sales are currently closed, but when they open up, it is something you can get more information about

Ah, I currently have points for August but are wholly on resale. I wanted to add 100 direct to get 'perk's but given if they open in June ordinarily I would have missed the banking deadline...........

I suppose if its the difference between deal and no deal, I would hope they would permit to bank 2019.
