Minor roadblock here!

Mia removed a bandaid from one for her injection sites and it is severly infected. We have to go to the oncologist tomorrow and test her blood levels etc. If the infection compromised her ANC levels we may have to postpone our trip. On monday her levels were lower than normal but in the clear. We are a bit worried here. How do I explain to the girls we may have to put off the trip...will they hate Mia for that? Should I go against the doctors wishes and go and wish for the best?

Any advice here is very much so needed!!!

Oh my! We will surely have Mia and your family in our prayers. Perhaps if you have to postpone a little while you could tell the girls that Disney World wasn't quite ready for you to come and as soon as they are ready at Disney World, then you will be on your way. That being said, I love the fortune cookie fortune that says "Never Trouble Trouble til Trouble Troubles you!" or in simpler terms, Let it all work itself out. Don't Worry. Perhaps when you take her to the doctor, there will be a simple fix and all will be well and you will be on your way!

I am hoping this can be an easy fix, but my nerves won't listen to my opinion. We have to up and out of the house at 7am to be there by 8. They called my husband while I was at work, she will be immediately hooked up to an antibiotic IV so we will be ther a few hours at least. Hopefully we can nip this in the bud, i am just sorry I didn't take the bandaid off sooner. It's the type that will stay on until you litteraly surgically remove it from the skin. I guess no more of those kinds eh?!

YAY!! WE GOT THE CLEARANCE TO GO!!!! Her anc didn't drop it went through the roof!!! From the 600's on Monday to 1400's today! With a little tlc and antibiotics she will be fine! I am so happy, I don't know why I always think the worst in these situations.

Cindee I got your package and all I can do is thank you perfusley! OMG Everything was so nice! Talent, all you ladies have it WOW!

Now I am finally getting off this darn computer and getting the packing finished!

All I can say is we took our trip so soon. We definitely tried to make the best of it but Mia really didn't feel the magic like the rest of us. One night leaving Epcot I burst into tears because she wasn't participating, no photos, no rides, no characters not even a smile I am going to start my trip report soon, I want to get my photopass cd ordered before I start. It saddens me that she wasn't happy. I called the doctor mid trip and he said she has signs of depression and we will have to set her up with counseling. We had some good moments, we had some great moments. Unfortunately the bad moments outweighed the good

I am ssorry that Mia is having trouble with depression and wasn't able to feel the magic. That is hard on everyone.

I hope as time goes on that the good will start to way out over the bad! I am looking forward to seeing the pictures and reading about your trip.

They were up all night, finally at 3am they drifted off to dream land

At orlando airport shuttle

I was not overly impressed with Airtran, but it was so inexpensive that I can't complain. White plains was overly crowded and waiting areas were so full that we had to stand in a small corner until a few nice men gave up their seats and let us sit. I am not sure if it was the time of day or what but thank goodness we had no incidents I will start my TR monday night.

Ok I;m late but all caught up. it took me a while to get back to life after my trip! I'm so sorry the trip wasn't everything you planned! Next time let us DIS-ers plan it for you, we can help I'm sure- and planning is half the fun of a WDW vacation. To me at least. Looking fwd to your start!
