Miss Kathy and Me take on Disney--Update 5/23-- Must Do's -- Epcot -- Mary

I am so sorry I've not been here.

Work hasn't been this busy in years, and it has just been nuts since we got back from Florida.

Then this past weekend was super hectic and I was thoroughly exhausted and had no time or energy to DIS.

Last Friday, we finally closed on the refinance of our house. Saturday I was up at 5:30 a.m., at Dunkin Donuts to pick up 8 dozen donuts and 4 dozen bagels by 6:20 a.m., at Starbucks at 6:40 a.m. and at the high school at 6:50 a.m. I worked Concessions from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m....it did NOT stop (we had over 400 wrestlers and their parents and coaches). After that, Mark brought some of his boys over to the house with their folks for a pizza party (he brought about eight kids from Dubuque to wrestle at the tournament). Sunday, Alisha, her sister and I did some more honeymoon shopping and, after they left, we went to Des' dance performance.

So my apologies for not being around. Now, let's get to some responses.

I'm glad that despite the early morning, you still had time to get to Starbucks so you didn't have to drink that Dunkin Donuts coffee.

May have been busy, but that looks like quite a nice weekend!

Welcome back to the real world. We are experiencing cold weather here in Kansas too. I'm not sure if spring is ever coming.....

We had a lovely day on Sunday and Monday, and now it is raining and cold again. I am SO over this.

I'm so sad that we had to bow out of the Cape May breakfast, but with our guests coming in we just have to get them into the parks before the crowds get there. This is a first trip for them and they are only spending three days. So we thought it best to do rope drops.
Oh well, still hoping for some pool time together in the afternoon!

Totally understandable. Will you be at Epcot on that day? I am sure we will see you at the pool a couple of times.

How awesome that you have another DISmeet planned! We've yet to do Cape May breakfast, but I'm always tempted.

I wasn't thrilled with Cape May's breakfast in December, but I can certainly fill up on Mickey waffles and I get a DIS meet with it.

Thanks, Mo. I hope you and your family were safe with all that water. We only got a little bit in our basement and it was gone by the late evening/early morning.

Day 4 plans looking good! Especially the sleeping in part. Cape May looks so fun and we've yet to do it. I love that the characters are all in their cute swimsuits.

Thanks, Molly. I allow one sleeping in day on every vacation. I think the characters in their swimsuits is a lot of fun.

Epcot plans look great! I'm one of the strange ones who enjoy "the stinky ride" lol!

You are not strange at all because I LOVE that ride too.

I've heard mixed reviews regarding the new Test Track but I think it looks fab and can't wait to try it out!

Was not a fan at all; Mark and I totally skipped it when we were there earlier this month..

Never been to Tutto but it looks good. Sounds like a great day you've got planned for you, Mary and the girlies.

I'm looking forward to trying this. Mark likes me to be the guinea pig and try the new restaurants before him.

I can certainly see why this would be one of your favorite days within the trip. I love Dis Meets...planned or unplanned.

I love my planned DIS Meets...and can't wait to plan a few more for August and December.

I was all behind, but thanks to your chapter links I'm caught up! I'm loving your plans, but so far it doesn't seem as if we'll be at the same parks on any of the days. We are going to MK on Sunday the 9th, so if you come over there for EMH, maybe we can get together.

We will work something out. If need be, I will meet you while the kids are swimming or something. And I believe we are at EMH's...so definitely something will work.

I love the day 4 plans, just wish I was there with all you wonderful ladies fun fun plans!

This was great in December; so easy and convenient.

Dinner at Tutto should be lovely. We haven't been back since they remodeled. I think it's time we returned.

Thanks, D. I feel bad as I have fallen way behind on everyone's TR's again (not only mine). It's just been crazy since I got back. Mark is umpping all weekend and I'll have the house to myself...hopefully I can catch up on everthing this weekend.

Sorry things have been so busy, but sounds like you got a lot of worthwhile stuff accomplished! The good news is, this may be the one thread I have been caught up on for a while............

I'm glad to accomodate you so that you could catch up. It was a busy weekend, but a fun one and we got a lot done for the honeymoon. Yesterday, I helped the kids book a little cruise to Key West while they are in Marco.

And for another trip not too far away!!!

My husband drinks that junk, not me. And he was sleeping so he was on his own for getting his coffee or mud that he drinks.

It's been nonstop since we got home. I am planning on taking it easy this weekend...I don't even care if the house doesn't get completely cleaned.

Mary, I'm dealing with airline sticker shock as well. We are driving to WDW in June because I refuse to pay $500 a ticket!

She slept very well and didn't get out of position once...trust me, I now, because my leg was "asleep" when I got up the next morning.

Well, stranger. I haven't seen you around in ages. It's so nice to see you again, Kathy. I hope you and the family are well.

I am very excited about our second girls trip. I agree...the girls are going to LOVE Be Our Guest. It was one of our favorite meals of Mark's surprise 60th birthday trip in December.

This is my last day at Disney for this trip.

We will get up, perhaps have a little something in the room for breakfast, and head here:



If we didn't have breakfast in the room, perhaps we will hit the Main Street Bakery if it is open by then for breakfast.

I'm sure we will do some of our favorites:

Mary didn't say what the plans were for lunch, but maybe we'll go to Columbia Harbor House as I know the girls liked that when we went a year ago.
