Miss Kathy and Me take on Disney--Update 5/23-- Must Do's -- Epcot -- Mary

Day 5 will be a bittersweet day for us. But we will be sure to experience it to the fullest.

Thanks for all the Congrats for Avery. She had an incredible meet with Personal Bests in 3 out of 4 events. She placed 2nd out of 34 in her age group on bars, 3rd of all 86 competitors!! Also got a 10th place on Beam. She was 5th All Around out of 34 in her age group 17th of 86. Outstanding for her first competitive season. We have some decisions to make on what to do for next season. In other gymnastics news, Cayley will be moving up a level this week and compete in 2 or 3 meets in the fall.

Great plans, especially the adult beverage. :rotfl2:

Congratulations to Avery for having such an amazing meet!

Great plans and sneaky spoiler alert on riding soarin' ;)

Thanks; I'm not sure I get your sneaky spoiler alert?

Yay for Avery! I saw your post on FB - that is awesome! ::yes::

Isn't that just great?

As for your Day 5 plans - 2 parks and EMH - you are ready for a long and fun day! I'd personally make some time to visit the Hall of Presidents for a nap, err, I mean a show mid-day.

I think that is a very good idea especially if it's ungodly hot.

Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks; it was a very productive one as far as cleaning the house goes. :)
Hope you had a great one.

congratulations to Avery!!!

That's my girl!

sorry to hear your mom is taking a turn for the worse, hope you can find a wonderful, caring place for her :hugs:

So many issues and so hard to deal with.

Day 5 looks like a lot of fun! know you will enjoy every last minute with Mary and the girls before you leave!

It will be a great last day.

A big congrats go out to Avery. I can tell there is someone who is very proud of her. :thumbsup2

She rocks that girl!

I love your Day 5 plans! YOu are doing everything we love to do!

It should be a fun filled day.

And congratulations to Avery - what an amazing accomplishment!

D~

Thanks, D. I can't wait to congratulate her in person.

Kathy I know I posted last night but laptop was acting up!! Congrats to Miss Avery and your plans sound great !!!

Thanks, Rosie. I hate when that happens....and it happens to me a lot with my phone.

Love the day 5 plans!

Thanks, Ann.

Our last day is always bittersweet...especially since we don't know when we'll meet again and those girls keep growing up!

Can't wait to hear the plans for next season, and way to go Cayley!

That is amazing!!! Good for her! I bet you are very proud. :goodvibes

How wonderful that Avery is doing so well !!

The first time I met Avery I knew that she was one determined little girl at whatever she was going to pursue.

Your last day plans look great!:thumbsup2 My two favorite parks.

Our two favorite parks to end the trip.

That is so great about Avery.:cool1:

Very impressive for her first year competing.

Looks like a good last day. Hopefully everyone can go strong and stick around to close EPCOT! :thumbsup2

As long as we keep the girls away from the pool, I think we'll make it until the end.

awesome news about Avery and all her placements! congrats to Cayley too with moving up!

Two very smart little girls!

That is a really cute picture. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Maryellen.

Great plans, especially the adult beverage. :rotfl2:

Adult beverages are ALWAYS a good thing when touring the parks with little ones. :rotfl::rotfl:

Congratulations to Avery for having such an amazing meet!

Isn't she awesome?

We've had a few changes...I'll tell you what they are and then Mary can confirm if she did it (was able to make the ADR changes, etc.).

First, instead of eating at Wolfgang on our arrival night (and Mary is not a fan of Earl of Sandwich), we will have dinner at Raglan Road at DTD. And we will definitely be having a Bailey's Shake after dinner. :)

Second, we are cancelling Tutto Italia (or whatever it is called) and going to Tony's in the Magic Kingdom. Mary's friends want to go there and I've always enjoyed lunch there and it's been several years since I've been. I told Mary whatever she decided was fine with me (as long as it is not Mexican)...I just appreciate them letting me tag along.

I'm debating on when and IF I should start an August PTR. I realized that that trip is only two months after my June trip. :scared1: There's already been changes made to that trip too. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I spy a FP from this past trip for Soarin'.... But you just checked into the Dolphin and are waiting for dinner on your TR. So having the Soarin' FP is a spoiler for that trip. ;)

Nice catch...I didn't even pay attention to the date. :rotfl::rotfl:

Can I just tell everyone how agreeable Ms Kathy is to Park and Dining Plans?? I FB her "How about doing xyz" She always responds with "sure, great, whatever you decide" Same thing if I make make a change, ask her to fake an illness etc :) She is the best to plan and travel with!! And of course we will have another girls trip-we have AP's :)

It's very easy...we like a lot of the same things; I have friends that I need to fake an illness with when I spend too much time with them, and you drink with me! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Mark and I are going to have to buy new AP's during our December trip...ours expire in September of this year.

Being able to travel well together is so important. I think you both must just be very easy going personalities. :goodvibes

The changes sound good... You have a lot in there that I would love to try.

Last night Josh and I were watching the Uncovered Disney (or whatever it's called)... and DH asked why - when the girls and I go to Disney - we don't ever do anything new. I was kind of offended, and I told him - "we do something new on every trip... The problem is, every time we try something new, we love it - then we have to do it again - so each trip gets progressively longer." :rolleyes1 I told him - this time we are trying a water park... It will be impossible to do Disney in under 10 days next time. popcorn:: We are just going to have to resort to the fact that we can't do everything on every trip. :dance3:

Oh - and I think that you need to do an Aug PTR... Well, at least, a TR - because I hope to be in it. ::yes::

Kathy, what a FANTASTIC photo!! This should be a magazine cover for Disney for Grown-ups!! You look fabulous, my friend!! :goodvibes

Ok, I like that change. Especially the last part.

I was looking forward to the review of Tutto, but I'm sure this will be a good experience as well. And what's wrong with Mexican??? :confused3 :rotfl2::lmao:

I'm debating on when and IF I should start an August PTR. I realized that that trip is only two months after my June trip. :scared1: There's already been changes made to that trip too. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Wow... I'd just do a quick Cliff's Note version of a PTR after the dust clears from the June trip and wedding. You've seen what happens when people try to write multiple TR's and PTR's with trips coming back to back to back. *cough*TimandBarry*cough*

It's nice to see that close friendships like this develop from the Disboards. I'm just kind of curious about this illness thing... :lmao:
