Miss Kathy and Me take on Disney--Update 5/23-- Must Do's -- Epcot -- Mary

Day 5 will be a bittersweet day for us. But we will be sure to experience it to the fullest.

Thanks for all the Congrats for Avery. She had an incredible meet with Personal Bests in 3 out of 4 events. She placed 2nd out of 34 in her age group on bars, 3rd of all 86 competitors!! Also got a 10th place on Beam. She was 5th All Around out of 34 in her age group 17th of 86. Outstanding for her first competitive season. We have some decisions to make on what to do for next season. In other gymnastics news, Cayley will be moving up a level this week and compete in 2 or 3 meets in the fall.
:yay: Congratulations to Avery and Cayley!!! :dance3: To not have been doing gymnastics for very long, they both seem to be doing very well at it already!!! :thumbsup2

I spy a FP from this past trip for Soarin'.... But you just checked into the Dolphin and are waiting for dinner on your TR. So having the Soarin' FP is a spoiler for that trip. ;)
I noticed that too......

We've had a few changes...I'll tell you what they are and then Mary can confirm if she did it (was able to make the ADR changes, etc.).

First, instead of eating at Wolfgang on our arrival night (and Mary is not a fan of Earl of Sandwich), we will have dinner at Raglan Road at DTD. And we will definitely be having a Bailey's Shake after dinner. :)

Second, we are cancelling Tutto Italia (or whatever it is called) and going to Tony's in the Magic Kingdom. Mary's friends want to go there and I've always enjoyed lunch there and it's been several years since I've been. I told Mary whatever she decided was fine with me (as long as it is not Mexican)...I just appreciate them letting me tag along.

I'm debating on when and IF I should start an August PTR. I realized that that trip is only two months after my June trip. :scared1: There's already been changes made to that trip too. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Sounds like some good changes. Never tried Tony's, but may get around to it one day. The new Mexican place in Epcot is fantastic though. I need to add that one to my list again soon!!! :goodvibes

Looks like some really good day five plans! You hit some of my favorites at MK, and then finishing with some of the highlights at Epcot is a great way to finish your trip! Well, except for that stinky ride......... :(

I see changes are afoot! I've heard amazing things about Raglan Road, the reviews are always positive. Tutto seems to get more meh ones so I think this is a good change!:thumbsup2 Tony's sounds like such a nice restaurant too. I like where it is in the MK and it's too darn cute inside. Sounds like another good change.

What a nice compliment Mary gave you regarding the changes.:goodvibes It's nice to be traveling with such an agreeable person, right Mary?:thumbsup2

Things are looking good ladies!

Kathy, your schedule is stressing me out! Girls trip, wedding, Disney again. Not to mention that you always sound so busy at work and then you clean your home alot AND take care of Cookie. Whew, I'm exhausted just from reading that. You're an inspiration and I'm sure Marv will hobble on over here to contradict that at some point...:rolleyes1

Oh and congrats to Avery, Mary! That is quite the accomplishment! My middle DD is almost through her first year of gymnastics and just loving every moment.:goodvibes

changes sound good! can't believe Mary doesn't like EofS :scared1:...never eaten at Raglan or Tony's, but we finally plan on eating at The Plaza this trip!

Can I just tell everyone how agreeable Ms Kathy is to Park and Dining Plans?? I FB her "How about doing xyz" She always responds with "sure, great, whatever you decide" Same thing if I make make a change, ask her to fake an illness etc :) She is the best to plan and travel with!! And of course we will have another girls trip-we have AP's :)

its great you get along so well! its always nice to travel with friends who are laid back and tour the way you like!

It's very easy...we like a lot of the same things; I have friends that I need to fake an illness with when I spend too much time with them, and you drink with me! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Mark and I are going to have to buy new AP's during our December trip...ours expire in September of this year.

well don't worry I won't be faking any illnesses to get away from you in Dec! we can't wait to hang out with you in AK!!

Being able to travel well together is so important. I think you both must just be very easy going personalities. :goodvibes

Thanks, Ann. I've come to that stage in my life where I just go with the flow most of the time...I'm very easy going.

The changes sound good... You have a lot in there that I would love to try.

I realized we've not been to Tony's in probably 8 years at least so it will be fun to go back.

Last night Josh and I were watching the Uncovered Disney (or whatever it's called)... and DH asked why - when the girls and I go to Disney - we don't ever do anything new. I was kind of offended, and I told him - "we do something new on every trip... The problem is, every time we try something new, we love it - then we have to do it again - so each trip gets progressively longer." :rolleyes1 I told him - this time we are trying a water park... It will be impossible to do Disney in under 10 days next time. popcorn:: We are just going to have to resort to the fact that we can't do everything on every trip. :dance3:

That is too funny. You are doing lots of new things. I think you should tell him you need a LONGER trip or two trips each year so that you can "try" mroe new stuff.

Oh - and I think that you need to do an Aug PTR... Well, at least, a TR - because I hope to be in it. ::yes::

There will definitely be a TR; I'm still mulling the PTR over. And, you better be in it!

D~

Hope you are having a great day.

Kathy, what a FANTASTIC photo!! This should be a magazine cover for Disney for Grown-ups!! You look fabulous, my friend!! :goodvibes

Christine, you know how to make my day. :goodvibes

Ok, I like that change. Especially the last part.

Of course you do.

I was looking forward to the review of Tutto, but I'm sure this will be a good experience as well. And what's wrong with Mexican??? :confused3 :rotfl2::lmao:

I think we might do Tutto in December...I want to get a few new places in for that trip so you'll still get a review...eventually. Although the way you are picking on my tastes in my other TR, perhaps I shouldn't do it. :rolleyes1

I just do NOT like Mexican food in any fashion.

Wow... I'd just do a quick Cliff's Note version of a PTR after the dust clears from the June trip and wedding. You've seen what happens when people try to write multiple TR's and PTR's with trips coming back to back to back. *cough*TimandBarry*cough*

You've got a good point there with the "TimandBarry" reference. I may start it out slowly...we'll see.

It's nice to see that close friendships like this develop from the Disboards. I'm just kind of curious about this illness thing... :lmao:

Let's just say that there is a friend who can be a bit "much" (and NO IT IS NOT ME MARV), and I may have to pretend I'm sick so we can escape.

I noticed that too......

Guess I need to be more careful.

Sounds like some good changes. Never tried Tony's, but may get around to it one day. The new Mexican place in Epcot is fantastic though. I need to add that one to my list again soon!!! :goodvibes

We've enjoyed our lunches at Tony's in the past and the theme is very cute.

Hey, leave my stinky ride alone!

We've done Raglan Road twice and really liked it. Tony's is in a great location!

Mary is just as easy going as me...I think that is why we clicked when we first met.

Things are looking good ladies!

Thank you, Molly.

Trust me, I'm having many stressful moments lately. And no sleep! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love watching gymnastics; I wish I weren't so far away from the girls.

I've heard a few people that haven't like EOS. :confused3
You are going to LOVE the Plaza.

Kathy, the picture of you with your slushie is adorable!! Sooooo many people talk about these...I may just have to try one in 31 DAYS!!!!! AHHHHHHH :cool1:
(Although...I am drawing a blank on what day we are going to Epcot...:rotfl::rotfl:)

Your last day plans look fabulous. Don't worry, I like the stinky ride too...this will be the DBFs first experience riding it...and I might just forget to tell him about the stinky part...;)

Happy 80 degrees in IL...too bad when I head to the Cubs game Friday it will be back down to 50 and raining again.

If you can't remember what day you are going to Epcot, you best stay away from the slushies. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love the Grand Mariner one (Mary prefers the Grey Goose, I think).

Isn't it a lovely day/ Too bad it turns miserable tomorrow through Sunday. :furious:

Guess it is mroe spring cleaning for me this weekend.

Absolutely amazing for her first time out, she is hugely talented! Congrats to both girls, amazing and exciting.

You had me at

Raglan

and

Baileys Shake (need to try one of those!)

You could just do a TR for August, wait and play it by year maybe? You can't NOT do anything though...that is not an option. LOL!

I may be in the minority but I love Tony's Town Square! Especially when we get the adorably cute waiter Mark Anthony. ;) Tutto Italia hasn't been on my radar since they re-furb'd...just not in a hurry to return.

Baileys Shake >>> :dance3: (Ok, that may be the alcohol talking but still...)

Such fun stuff coming up!!

I LOVE tony's!!!
it so MUCH FUN!!! im reading along and so excited for you guys!!! :cool1:

Nice ADR changes. Denny and I are eating at Reglan Rd too! :thumbsup2
