Kathy, great to hear the good news about Cookie!! I know you are thrilled to still have some more quality time with her. Those inner ear infections can be a tough thing for dogs. We have been fighting one with Samson, our 6 year old chocolate lab for a few months.

Thank you everyone. Cookie came home with us.



She has a double ear infection and an inner body infection which can be taken care of with the antibiotic. She is definitely totally blind in one eye and has maybe 10% ability in her other eye; she has arthritis. The vet, Dr. John--her favorite, said he felt that if the pain got too bad with her arthritis, we could give her medication if we chose. He thinks she still has some time left with us and we should follow up in six months or sooner if we have concerns. He also found us a possible pet sitter in June for when we go to the wedding. He strongly suggested not putting her in a kennel as that would probably be the end of her as she's never been in one before. Thanks for all the prayers and hugs...I was having a very difficult morning.

I am so glad you got such a good flight now! I can't believe they tried to change yours like that!

The gift from Alisha is so sweet.

So exciting to get an ADR at BOG!! I ate just a cs meal there and it was amazing. I can only imagine how special that dinner meal will be.

Love the new tops and swimming suits... on my screen... the top of the suit is purple

Ya know, I am not a huge star wars fan... but after reading some of the details that Michelle (lovethattink) has posted... the hyperspace hoopla sounds kinda neat! I would definitely not pass it up if I were there during that time.

I have been so busy lately... I am just trying to get caught up on dis. I think I already mentioned it...but in case I didn't... I am so glad to hear Cookie was able to come home. I know that must have hurt your heart quite a bit before you knew she could.

I am so glad the news about Cookie was good. I wish I lived closer then I would gladly dog sit for you. I never leave my Oliver at a kennel...I have a couple of friends who will take him if my daughter Megan is not available,\. Next weekend we are all going to Maine for my husband's birthday and my good friend is taking Oliver for me.

I have fallen behind yet again, 2 posts to be exact....

Yay! for your flight change and the great company on DME, so happy that worked out! Now on to dinner at WPE. We really enjoy eating there too. What is your favorite?
I hope you enjoy our Beach Club. It was our first DVC purchase and is our favorite. I really think each resort has something special to offer it's guests and we enjoy the occasional stay at other resorts but coming back to Beach Club is like going home to us.

The 8th is when we return from our Fantasy Cruise. We will come straight to Beach Club and check in, then will most likely go on a grocery run. I hope we see you girls out by the pool in the afternoon.
I'll bet you have fun at DHS, SWW is really fun for people watching!!!

So happy you had good news about Cookie. I had been thinking about you so much and worrying about what you could have been going through if the news wasn't so good.

Oh yea, the friends that the girls swam with at Storm along? It was us! LOL! Last summer when our granddaughter Harper was visiting us on vacation. They had a blast together!
Can't wait to hang out at the pool, we are going to have a great time!

Sorry it took so long for responses. The kids came in this weekend and Alisha and I went shopping all afternoon on Saturday and then we took the kids Downtown Chicago for dinner at Lawry's for prime rib. And then, of course, yesterday was Easter and we had Mark's family over.

Those tops and bathing suit are cute!! And great prices too.

I was very happy with the prices.

Your DHS plans sound good too. And the BCVs look so gorgeous from the pictures. Someday I'll stay deluxe!

I have to say I'm getting really spoiled by these deluxe and villa stays.

Okay question on the ToT....Avery goes on this?? How tall/heavy is she?? I didn't think I would take Bradey on it in August, but he saw a YouTube video of it and wants to go. I'm just worried because there's really nothing to hold onto...right? Is there a lap bar? I can't remember....

I see that Mary answered your question on TOT. I hope that helps as far as Bradey is concerned. I've seen lots of yougn kids on it...some love it, some hate it.

Both girls have gone on it. Cayley being exactly at 44in and around 44lb. There is a seatbelt and two handles to hold on to (and believe me I did the 1 and only time I went) No lap bar. I bet he will be fine. If he likes drops in the dark with crazy screaming people-me not so much

I think we are at 66 days (I erased my countdown to do one for our trip this Saturday).

So glad you were able to figure out your air travel plans! I have flown AirTran and they seemed nice and accommodating, but I was nervous for you having to deal with changing flights..never know where the hidden fees will be!

I'm much happier with these travel plans. And so happy no additional fees.

Your plans are looking similar to mine. I have Thursday as a DTD day as well because we are planning two "no parks days this trip." (We will see if I can manage that! ) I think I have ADR's in MK on Friday as well...I need to check into that!

I've come to enjoy our "no park days"...it's a good way to store up some energy for the rest of the days.

Can't wait to read on! Made a trip to Elgin this week to visit my parents...I feel like I could throw a stone to you now, Kathy, you're so close!

One of these trips to Elgin, you'll have to let me know and maybe we can meet for coffee somewhere.

I had a feeling you might consider changing if an offer comes out. Unfortunately, the Yacht Club doesn't appeal to me. And I've probably been unfair to the WL (don't tell anyone I said that) because of our experiences with the CM's there. But I know how much you love it.

Score on the new clothes for WDW!

This weekend I bought a couple of necklaces and earrings to go with the clothes I picked up.

I will not be at the Studios on that Saturday-plan on avoiding the Star Wars Weekend if it can be helped.

I am so not a Star Wars fan...but the girls are excited so I'm willing to give it a go.

We loved BOG in December and I'm thrilled to be going back. I hope you can get an ADR for July (by the way, I got mine for August...do let me know if you get one in July).

Glad that your flight plans worked out to arrive sooner. You made me think hmmmmm Priceline for flights, totally off my radar but maybe an option since airfare is so expensive right now!

Brenda, I cannot believe how much airfare is OR car rentals...they are out of their minds with their prices. Sometimes Priceline gets really good deals; when I booked our August flights, again on Air Tran, it was $222 a person on Priceline;, but if I went to AirTran directly, it was almost $900 for the two of us.

How exciting to have BOG to look forward to. The girls should be so thrilled with that.

I really think the girls are going to love BOG.

Yay for shopping for vacation clothes. I'm partial to anything purple so I love the cami top and bathing suit.

Purple is my favorite color too (probably why I picked that for the wedding).

Yay for getting an earlier flight! Air Tran always seems to change flights around but I've never had them make that big of a change.

I'd heard that about AirTran and I wouldn't have minded if it was only 20 or 30 minutes...but not 105 minutes!

Day one sounds fabulous. MK, The Plaza and BOG all in one day. Notice I always hone in on the food.

The food is a very essential part of any Disney trip.

I love everything on your day 2 except for Star Tours. I got so sick the last time I rode it. I'm not sure I'll be riding that one again.

Yeah, I may sit that one out and let Mary and the girls do it since I get to do TOT and Space Mountain with the girls because Mary won't. I got a sick tummy after Star Tours last time myself.

By the way... if that potential June trip would have happened for me, it would have been that same week.

This is why I really wanted to go when we started talking about June. I'm a Star Wars nerd. I was already planning my day at DHS for Star Wars weekend.

I think it is more of a guy thing...my husband loves that stuff.

We've landed at 11:30 before...but that was Mark and I with no kids so it wasn't a big deal.

I was really happy with the shirts...they should be nice and cool for the hot weather.

SAB is the best!! I know you will love it at BC! I am hoping to get a night or 2 there with the DS and nephew in July. DS really wants his cousin to get to experience that pool. The lazy river portion is much cooler than the rest of the pool. We were there in August the last time and found ourselves heading to the lazy river portion often as the rest of the pool (by that time of the summer) was more like bath water.

I've heard great things about the pool (although I also heard it is hard to keep track of your kids); the Lazy River will be mine.

So close now to your 1 day of fun!!!

Skipping the RnR? That’s a great ride, I find that ToT is far more punishing, but then again, DW doesn’t like the sudden launch on the RnR either. She loves the rest of the ride, but just not that first 2 seconds.

I get really bad headaches if I ride that one and I get a stomachache on EE; old age is not a pleasant thing.

Make sure that you hit Star Tours several times to see how many different excursions you end up on. If you can get to the back of the ride vehicle, you also have a better chance of being declared “The Rebel Spy”.

I was the Rebel Spy on a previous trip...that was really a surprise.

Beaches and Cream is also a nice choice. Can’t say as I’d ever even attempt the Kitchen Sink, but it’s my understanding that if you’re actually there for a meal (as opposed to just sweets) that the burgers are among the best On World.

I know one of us had the burger at Beaches & Cream in December and it got rave reviews.

June 8th sounds like a winner. I will be thinking of you as we are finishing the last leg of our drive to WDW. DRIVE!

I do not miss driving to Florida at all; but if airfares continue to rise, we may have to consider driving next year.

Cookie's appt. is this Saturday? I remember our Brandy having accidents and slowing down, we were blessed to have her as long as we did, I still miss our girl.

Yes, it was this past Saturday and I posted an update on her...she is still with us. I still think of our first dog often, so I know how you feel.

OK, back to WDW sorry Very cool both girls will do ToT

We will see if Cayley follows through with doing TOT, but I'm glad Avery will be my partner again.

How much to do an all girl's trip...you get a little different focus...you ladies sound like you have some lovely plans... great accomodations and two very sweet little companions...Avery and Kayley seem like such sweet little girls...

I love my girls trips and always hope Mary will invite me again; it's also fun to travel with children again.

Considering I find it very rare to get good customer service anywhere these days, I was plesantly surprised by the great customer service I got. I really wish I had gotten his name and written a letter praising him.

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!!!! I can't wait to see you Princess.

I'll try to get to responses as soon as I can. Work is kicking my butt this week and I'm keeping an eye on my number one boss as he is dragging (his wife is ill) and we've had something going on every night this week.
