Nope, nothing has been lost to build this ride The Shark Reef closed last year though.

Miss Adventure Falls is near to Crush 'n' Gusher. As @rteetz said above, Shark Reef is still there but remains closed (we can hope it may return to operation one day...)

Awesome. I was under the impression they had gotten rid of Shark Reef completely. Glad to hear they didn't, and I agree that I hope it comes back...though I'm a cold water wimp, so it literally took my breath away every time I got in. When I was a kid, I could go in the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey in May, when it was 65 degree water temps. Now, if it's not bath water warm, I'm not thrilled...

I'm with you missing Shark Reef. We did Aulani last year and went to their equivalent (Rainbow Reef). Was hoping to share Shark Reef with the kids for the first time since we've been back to TL. Guess we'll have to save our pennies again for another trip to Hawaii!

Definitely worth saving your pennies for Discovery Cove when your out in Florida! Just think Shark Reef x1000, its amazing, worth every penny!

OMG I'll jump on board with this endorsement. We did Discovery Cove for the first time last summer. My kids loved Shark Reef but the reef there was EVEN better...but VERY cold water as well. My kids loved it though. We loved just spending the day mostly relaxing and floating around the water all day long. The food was also pretty good. Despite the high price tag, we would LOVE to go back again someday! We bought the upgrade that allowed you to go to Seaworld as well as Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island and included parking. It was a great value when you considered all of that.

There is no weight limit as far as i'm aware. The sign does say 2-4 people, but worth asking the CM at load if you can all ride together. The rafts do look on the small size though, definitely smaller than those at Blizzard Beach.

I imagine the issue is more the number of handles that are in each raft.

YEa that'd be my guess. Probably have to split up into groups of 2 or 3 with a larger group. But yea I'd jsut ask a CM, worst they'll say is no

I would also have to guess it's more a physical size limit than weight. Not to be offensive at all, but it looks like a fairly small raft, so I doubt 4 very large people would fit well in it.

Exciting that you get to ride up the belt, that's a neat touch, kind of like a roller coaster.

Kind of disappointed that it is only a 4 seater. The other family ride at TL is already a 4 seater, so we don't do it much since we're a family of 5. The one at BB holds 5 (I think it can actually hold 6), so I was hoping this one would be the same.

I was hoping for a six rider like BB's family raft ride, but that is okay. We will just have to split are family and meet at the bottom. We LOVE BB's family ride, but I have my hopes this will be pretty darn cool! Definitely an improvement on TL's other "family ride". We are planning on several days at the water parks this trip coming up in August so hopefully we can get a couple of experiences on this new ride!!

Is there a height requirement for this? I have a 35 inch toddler
