Mishaps & Magical Moments...Day 7 Added!

I am really enjoying your TR! What a magical first night, and I almost hope my heater is broken to get the second view you got:thumbsup2

Your boys are adorable!

I love love love your trip report! You have a very beautiful family! You take great pictures too!

Looks like you hit the jackpot with characters at Epcot! Even Marie!!! Wow!:yay: I have never seen her and I practically grew up at Disneyland CA!

What a wonderful day 5!! and GREAT photos...I love the way Owen looks so intently at the characters it is so fun to see it through their eyes...I can't wait to go back with Ashton. I hope we hit the character jackpot like you guys did...
Looks like you two did a great job drinking "around the world"!! that grey goose slushie looks awesome...may have to twist Danny's arm for one of those :lmao:
:wave2:

Oh, awesome! I'm just finding your TR and need to still read through it, but I totally remember your last one and have looked forward to this one!! :goodvibes

Great updates! I have never seen those characters at Epcot before (the Capt. Hook, Pinnochio, Meeko, etc, etc ones....)! Very interesting!

Love the drinking around the world. The GGLCS is the absolute BEST, isn't it? That Riesling flight looks really good - I need to try that next time!

Glad the sunshine came out this day and it sounds like it was just about as perfect as can be! :thumbsup2

Wow, I missed a few updates!!! I've kind of been MIA for a week! Bad diser, I know!!

I loved your bday salute to Myles, he is so cute and has the most beautiful eyes!

You guys saw a lot of characters that we didn't see! I cannot wait to go back and see who else we can find!

And Myles seems to have had a lot of awesome bday desserts!!!

I love reading about your children's interactions with the characters! So sweet!

So glad you enjoyed Biergarten. It's one of our favorites. Those beers are huge, aren't they?!

Just catching up! The pictures of your birthday boy were fantastic! What a cutie. :) It really does go too fast, doesn't it?

Your Day 4 in DHS was our day at AK and we got soaked! Oh my goodness, the rain!!! Your dinner at California Grill sounded awesome. Did your kids have any trouble at such a "fancy" place? DH and I ate there on our honeymoon, but we didn't dare take the kids (4, 2, 1) this trip. The kid's sushi dessert was so cute! Maybe next trip! ;)

The Epcot pictures are great. You sure saw a ton of characters! You may have said this before, but what were the temps like? Were you able to use the pool at the Poly at all?

GF: I am really looking forward to going there. I have never been inside of it and only viewed it across the lagoon. I am looking forward to seeing it! I think I always think of it as the quintessential Disney resort because of the Full House episodes. Did you like the 1900 PF? We are planning my DD's birthday dinner there.

Great family photo at EP!! I am looking forward to spending time in WS if DD is willing. I think she will--she loves to explore and I think she will like the Kidcot stations too. :goodvibes: The picutres of Myles in China are adorable (but don't tell him I said that--he probably would not appreciate that sentiment!) Talk about character hot spot!! I will have to make note to check out that alley!!

Which spreadsheet did your waitress in LE Cellier remember?? :scratchin

I followed along on your PTR but just now figured out that you had your TR going! :goodvibes Looks like a great trip so far. I don't think I would make it too far drinking around the world! :rotfl: Can't wait to read more!

Sorry your 'Hatter' wasn't the crazy one. We loved ours at breakfast!

Love the pic of the boys hugging in the GF!

I can't do tequila at 12pm 8am or 7pm I can't drink it.... beer on the other hand I can drink anytime! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Did you notice if they do carbombs in the UK? I hope they do.

I might try to drink around the world.... someday. :scratchin

What a great day, especially for characters. I loved that breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Sorry you didn't get the funny Mad hatter. but I guess Alice made up for it. We did have a less than magical waitress here :headache: last time.

Love all your Epcot pics. The ones of Stitch are so cute. Looks like your boys are having a blast. Some of the characters in your WS pics I have seen at Epcot!. Gotta love Le Cellier and those desserts look amazing. Your TR is making me want to go back to Disney now ;).

What a magical day! Owen looks like he just LOVES all the characters. The pic of the boys sporting sombreros is adorable. How cute that Alice left a little reminder on Owen.:lovestruc I love the idea of drinking around the world. I'd like to give it a try some day.
Looks like you guys found the character jackpot. At least they brought some characters back after getting rid of the double decker bus of characters.

Just caught up on your TR...EPCOT was a great day! A character extravaganza! You took some great family shots in World Showcase! Can't wait to hear about more magical moments!

Sorry I have been MIA for the last few days!! I went to the Dr. on Wednesday and when they called me I knew something came back in my bloodwork- because usually they just send the letter that everything is fine. Well, I have really high cholestrol! So high that I have 6 months to get my diet under control or I have to go on medication:sad2: I have been trying to loose weight since after Myles was born, but instead I packed on the pounds and then after Owen was born I packed on the pounds again! Now if I don't eat better I hear the words "you will need to be in medication so that you don't have a stroke or heart attack!!!" It is crazy. I guess it is the kick I needed though. So now in the matter of a week I went from an italian girl who everything in life is centered around the food to a girl who is afraid of eating anything because I don't want to be 36 years old and on medication!! UGH .... How am I ever going to do the deluxe dining in Disney on a low cholestrol diet :sad1:

Hi Pam! Thanks for the compliment on Myles. YES!! We hit the kackpot in Epcot- it was awesome. I think they felt bad because it rained for 3 days before and nobody was out in the rain!!

I love reading about your children's interactions with the characters! So sweet!

So glad you enjoyed Biergarten. It's one of our favorites. Those beers are huge, aren't they?!

Yes huge beers!! Wayne is still talking about it:goodvibes

The kids did great at Cali grill! It was so loud in there even if they had been screaming the entire time nobody would have heard! (maybe that is why they put us near the grill!?) There was lot's of distractions for the kids there, and the fireworks were a great break for the kids to get up during the meal and to watch!! :cloud9: I say give it a shot next time.

The Epcot pictures are great. You sure saw a ton of characters! You may have said this before, but what were the temps like? Were you able to use the pool at the Poly at all?

Hey Jill (twin) I am so excited about your upcoming trip. Are you going to do Disney nights? The temps were cool and rainy and we did use the pool once but froze when we got out. That is why I booked WL for next trip! The fireplace and hot tubs in February appeal to me much more than the pool and beaches at the Poly.

Which spreadsheet did your waitress in LE Cellier remember?? :scratchin

My spreadsheet is something i created in excel- it has all my confirmations and is all color coded! I use the same one every year- and because we do the deluxe dining it helps me to keep track of how many credits we use/have left! - Myles loves getting his picture taken.... he is our little model. Oh and we LOVED 1900! This is the 2nd time and the food is good and the characters are really great! We are huge Mary Poppin fans in this house so having breakfast and having her come by our table to chat is always very magical to us!!!

I followed along on your PTR but just now figured out that you had your TR going! :goodvibes Looks like a great trip so far. I don't think I would make it too far drinking around the world! :rotfl: Can't wait to read more!

Hey!! I am glad you found me! :goodvibes Drinking around the worls is something we always said we were going to do (even before kids) and now being on the monorail and no rental car we could actually do it on this trip. It was SO much fun. We met Soooooo many people doing the same thing and we would see them in each country and they would talk and laugh with us. It was a great memory for sure- but I do not think I will be doing it ever again!!

Sorry your 'Hatter' wasn't the crazy one. We loved ours at breakfast!

I didnt notice abour car bombs, but the Rose and Crown Pub was really busy in there- it looked like such a fun atmosphere... I had gone in to grab two beers for me and Wayne, but so many people were just hanging out at the bar and having fun! I remember your video about the Mad Hatter (I think it was yours!) This is two years in a row that we got the "boring" Hatter. I do love how he signs his name! Did you notice?? He writes the "H" as a hat!

What a great day, especially for characters. I loved that breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Sorry you didn't get the funny Mad hatter. but I guess Alice made up for it. We did have a less than magical waitress here :headache: last time.

Thank you!! :goodvibes Yes, Alice did make up for it!! The service here has never been something I would comment as "great service" last time I thought the waiter was too busy and it was mothers day and Wayne had ordered me a surprise (the glass slipper) and he came out while Wayne was at the buffett and asked If he should bring out Wayne's surprise... I was like "what surprise!?"

:rolleyes1 Patiently waiting....

;)

yeah yeah yeah :goodvibes

Here is a cool thread you might want to check out about the WL!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1941097

oooh I love it!! are you requesting a floor or room? we booked courtyard so far but I wasnt sure about putting in a special request for a floor or something. I really want to be able to see the EWP from the room!!!

What double decker bus!? I do not remember that!! It was such a great day! I think you should try the drinking around the world- but maybe plan a down day or morning for the next day!!!

Just caught up on your TR...EPCOT was a great day! A character extravaganza! You took some great family shots in World Showcase! Can't wait to hear about more magical moments!

Thanks!! Yes- i want to go back!! Thanks for the compliment on the family pictures. It was the first time we had seen sun since we arrived in Florida and you can just see how it happy it made us all!

Try taking a supplement called Red Yeast Rice. My sister, mom and dad all started taking it after being diagnosed with high cholesterol and it's worked wonderfully for them. So much so that my mom and dad, who were both on medication as well, were able to stop taking the medication and only take the supplement with the support of their doctors!

I've had the same problem with keeping the weight on after each of the kids. It's so hard! I just got serious about it in January and have lost 11 pounds so far. Doing a half hour on the treadmill and eating smarter is working for me. It's hard to stay disciplined though but I know I need to do it.
