I made a 7:40pm ADR for Rose & Crown in September, thinking Illuminations was at 9:00pm. I just checked the calendar the other day and realized it was 10:00pm that night, not 9:00pm. How late do they take reservations for Rose & Crown? Assuming we don't get seated right away and take an hour to eat, finishing up maybe at 9:00pmm, will somebody be waiting for our table or can we hang out until Illuminations?

Yes, there will be someone to take your table and no, they won't let you hang out at the table for an hour. Your best plan is to finish your meal and grab a spot outside to watch Illuminations.

Rose & Crown is one of the faster places that I've eaten at - think 60-90 minutes for appetizers, entrees, and dessert. I think you'd have a tough time stretching your meal out for 2 plus hours. As the PP said, it's probably better to eat and then go find somewhere to watch the show.

Also, as others will note, you may not get a table with a view of Illuminations. You can't see the show from inside the restaurant and not all of the patio tables have a good view. They may let you request a patio table, but it depends on the CM, how busy the restaurant is, etc.

I think R&C takes walk-ups (I don't know about ADRs) until just before the park closes.

Thanks for posting this - I checked and sure enough they moved it back from 9 to 930 on our day as well. :headache: We have a 7:35 and will come right at 7:35 hoping it will be a little wait and plan on ordering an app, entrees and split a desert followed by coffee. And stalk the site for an 8pm instead of course. :lmao:

Depending on when you finish they may allow you to wait on the patio which is where patrons sitting inside are allowed to watch when illuminations begins.

Just to clarify, the reserved viewing area is not the same as the patio where the tables are located. They reserved viewing area is the left of the restaurant (when facing the check-in podium). The viewing area is in the red box (approximately) and the patio is adjacent.

Thanks for that and all the answers. I won't be too upset if I mis-timed it. We ate at Rose & Crown last September and were fortunate enough to get a table right next to the water. My timing was much better then. I guess I was just surprised that Illuminations was scheduled so late and the park open later in September, until I realized it's the first day of F&W.
