Mintek portable DVD players??

Anyone have a Mintek Portable DVD player? Do you love it ? Would you buy it again?? What features do I need? I saw where some come with a car and sometimes airplane adapter/charger? Is this something I should have?? Thanks.

I have a Mintek portable DVD player, and I've been happy with it. It's just a small one. I think the screen is like 4 or 5 inches. I bought a small one because I wanted something easy to carry on a plane, and very light. Some of them have really big batteries, and can get very heavy. Mine is small enough to fit in a Case Logic CD player case. It came with a car adapter, which I have never used.

The battery is enough to play for about 2 hours. I've been thinking about buying a spare battery, but have yet to do that.

I bought a 7 " screen Mintrek for my kids for Christmas. They love it! It came with car adapter, 2 sets of headphones, a remote control, a carry case that turns into a car securer and 2 hr battery. No problems whatsoever. And we bought it $135!! I got in at a Christmas sale at Kohls! Would buy another in a heartbeat. Good luck shopping

We got the Mintek at Kohls also and really like it. Only bad thing for us was the headphones that come with it weren't the best for on the airplane. But we used different ones that we had at home and that worked great.

My husband and I bought one for each of our kids (2), and they love them. The only frustrating part, for them, is that the battery only lasts about 2 hours. We did not get the car adapter, so that makes long trips a little tough! Other than that, they are wonderful!

Same with us! We used one of those extra 15% off coupons so it was a great deal.

I bought a mintek dvd player yesterday at Kohls because it was such a good deal. When I got home I researched the brand on line and on amazon website there were tons of negative comments about them. I am kind of leary of even trying it out and taking it out of the box now. Any feed back would be nice. Thank you Melissa

They are OK. They function just fine. You get what you pay for.
