Mint Juleps--yay or nay?

Just " ok" for me. I was kind of disappointed since I thought I would like it more than I did.

Put me in the "mouthwash" camp. I was excited to try one, because I'd heard so many people talk about how great they were. I ended up throwing it away after a few sips because it was just so dang minty!

I love em', but my other half would rather have a diet coke. I agree they don't taste anything like a true mint julep and I love those as well!

Yay! Love them. I'm the only one in my family, though.

I am not a fan. I purchased one for everyone at our table (six people) and unfortunately no takers after they tried it. I did drink mine...

My wife got one last time we were there. She didn't care for it so she gave it to me. I didn't care for it either. We passed it around to a couple others in the family and none of them really cared for it. Seems odd we had no one that liked it so I'm wondering if it wasn't made quite right or something.

To sum up, 4 or 5 'nays' for now. :)

Yay! Just wish they still sold the big old choux fritters. Now that was a combo!

Yay for us 3. It's not minty enough to encroach on mouthwash territory for us. And if you order it in the Blue Bayou, you get free refills! (maybe other places will also...)

After looking at the recipe... I would have to say no.. but I am from New Orleans and we do Mint Juleps they way they are supposed to be... mint syrup, whiskey, and shaved ice....... yesssss maam........
