Mint Julep Bar?

I've never found this place in all the times I've been to DL. We're going very soon and would like to check it out. Help?

I believe it's located in New Orleans Square...

There's a counter where you can buy them right in New Orlean's Square located not far from the N.O. train station. It's one of our traditions!

It is right across from the back cars of the train when it stops at Frontierland/NO station.

Do you know where the French Market is? At the back of the FM there is the train station, the restrooms are to the left if you're facing the train. Well, the Julep bar is right there......face the train station (standing in or out of the FM dining area) turn in a circle to your left, once you've gone a bit less than halfway you'll see the Julep bar.

Keep in mind that the place isn't always open, and when it's closed with the shutters, it's not that obvious where it is. It's been a tradition of my husband's family for many years and continues with him but there's been some times where we come around the corner and stare, trying to remember where it is!

Bear in mind that there is no "julep" in that "bar."

Yep, it's a little window you order from. If I were you, I'd order one and taste it first to see if you like it. We were all so excited to have one and I ordered 5 or 6 and no one liked them, not even me. Personally it was a major disappointment, but you might love them, so make sure to at least give it a shot

If they are closed you can always get one to go from the French Market

we always ask for light ice otherwise you only get an inch or two of
Mint julep

Does the French Market still serve Mint Julep from their soda machine? I was there in '08 and they did. That drink is the sole reason I even go to the French Market.

Yes. I bought a mint julep at the FM in January. You can also order them at Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou. But I think they are nasty. Dh loves them.

To me, it tastes like the Bug Juice from camp. Sweet and "green" flavored. But no bugs.
