Dh and I were at the Adventurers Club (love that place!) last week and we saw Jeff Corwin (the crazy animal guy from Discovery Channel) and an Imagineer having a few drinks. Apparently (based on my evesdropping LOL) he was there shooting a Discovery Channel show on Expedition Everest. The Imagineer said they had been to Tibet to do research for the new attraction. Not sure if anyone would know the Imagineer - man in mid-40s, most distinguishing thing was large(!) earrings in left ear, which stretched the earring hole very large. Seemed like an interesting group!

Based on your description, the Imagineer was Joe Rhode. He's the head guy in charge of Animal Kingdom. I want to say creative director? Maybe? I'm not sure of the title, but he's in charge of Animal kingom, and I believe is show supervisor of Everest as well.

I love Jeff Corwin.... and I've seen that imagineer on some of the Disney specials!! Very cool!!

Oh, I think I know who you're talking about. In all the Discovery/Travel channel shows on Disney, the guy w/ the earring is on a lot talking about Animal Kingdom.
