Minnie's Holiday dining in HS

A co-worker told me that during the holidays in 2016 there was a special buffet with Minnie. Did anyone try it and if so was the food decent? We are going over the holidays this year. If this is offered we may try it

I think you are refering to Hollywood and Vine...ever been but we are looking into it this year.

We went in September and it was Halloween themed. They rotate themes based on season. We enjoyed it. Something for everyone on the buffet. It wasn't gourmet but it was good.

It the same foods as on any night. Yes decent, for a buffet. not gourmet, but definitely good comfort food. The difference between all the themed seasons is only the costumes the characters wear. They have 5 different ones...Spring, Summer, (Christmas) Holiday, Hollywood and Halloween.

We just went in January. Food was pretty good. Lobster mac and cheese was yummy.

I don't know if it was an off night or what, but character interaction was horrendous. We went to H&V, Tusker, CRT, Crystal Palace & Akers (cannot spell) oh and Chef Mickey. The only place I was extremely disappointed in was H&V. It was so rushed and Daisy & Donald didn't even come over until 1 hr, 20 min into the meal. We were just sitting there waiting for them. They were on the other side of the restaurant the entire time and by the time they got to us, they posed for 1 pic then left.

The food is decent. Reviews are all over the place, some very very horrible and some think it was their best meal ever. It was very firmly in "decent" with above average character interaction. I did a review of it in my dining review - signature in my link - if you want more details. I think it is worth doing for a character meal and if you are on the DDP, ESPECIALLY with F! package.

We did Minnie's Holiday Dine two years ago and really enjoyed it. We went on the very first night of it. The food was very good for buffet food and the characters were awesome. Their special Holiday outfits were so nice.

We went the first night of the Halloween dine last September and it was really good! I'm very picky and was actually surprised by the food that night. I did see a reviewer give her card to one of the kitchen staff though, so maybe it was for that purposes, but I'm not complaining! We found the characters to be great too - Minnie even came by twice

We did Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine. The food was fine. Standard buffet quality. We liked the selections. My kids loved the characters in their holiday outfits. It was nice seeing them decked out for the holidays in clothes that you couldn't see them in anywhere else. I'd say it's worth doing at least once.
