I know this is random..... but I will be there the week before Christmas. Not sure when they will announce the time changes ( I believe there will be extended park hours )....... anyway..... I was able to book CP breakfast for 7am on Dec 23....... Still booked GG too for 8 am another day -
Look at 2014 hours for the week you are there, to get an idea. I would post a link if I knew how, but it's easy to look up. The hours on Christmas week and the week before Christmas, (I will be there then) will DEFINITELY change.

Ugh!!! Knowing it could become available at ANY hour of ANY day (based on the GG breakfast/lunch release) is stressing me out! I feel like this has become the Holy Grail of my WDW trip. LOL! Is it even about the meal anymore? Or is it about... the QUEST??? [Queue orchestral music here as I look longingly to the empty horizon.]

I had GG reserved about 11:50 pm est. the night it became available. When I came over here at midnight, someone had just posted it. It was not right on the hour for sure! I have seen other reservations released at 3am est and 3pm est and obviously 6am est.

AMEN. I'm beginning to think this meal wouldn't even be a good choice for my family (especially since I have a toddler who has never met any characters before, we're not on the DP, etc.). Now that I snagged a MM ressie, I think I should spend the time I was stalking this thread with my kid instead. Crazy thought  Good luck everyone!

I am loving your posts! I'm convinced that if anyone can get any info from a CM it will be you! :rotfl:
Thank you for the vote of confidence. I just feel that if you flatter them enough, confuse them enough, or just irritate the heck out of them, they will crack

we have faith in you... you can do it....
help us disney dogs rule, youre our only hope

oops, still nothing.

even tried the whole, a CM told me last night to call back today. the CM was like, I don't know where they got that info from but we haven't been given anything.

Do we have any IT people that are following this thread or does anyone know someone that is in IT (or a computer wiz) that could help me with something in regards to this? If so, send me a message please, it could help all of us out some.

At this point I think it's about the quest. My mother isn't even interested in doing any of the character meals she just wants to do the F & W stuff but I'm really wanting to do this dinner and the GG breakfast. We did GG breakfast years ago before they stopped doing breakfast and lunch, I don't think they had the characters at dinner back then. Mom thought the Star Wars Dinner was a ripoff but I enjoyed it.

I'm questing, too! We don't even like H&V, but I feel like we "need" to go since we'll be there for Christmas.

Why waste time trying to book it or spend the money if you don't like it? I certainly wouldn't if I didn't like the place. I personally have enjoyed the food there and the character interaction

I have always like the food at H&V. We haven't eaten there in a few years, but when we did, we enjoyed it.

Still waiting also, and keeping an eye on this site. I personally love the characters and since it's just my DH and myself there's no way I'm going to make my DH stand in line to get photos. When it comes to Disney my DH does what I really want to do and if its a character meal then he'll go with a smile on his face cause it's making me happy. As he always says "A Happy Wife is a Great Married".

We went for the Star Wars special dinner....the food was typical buffet food...not gourmet, but enjoyable (so long as you stop thinking that you paid $60 for this and back home it would have been the $9 weeknight special, lol).

We haven't been there in several years. It would fit really nicely into our plans one night, and we're willing to give it another try for a cool, holiday experience. :)
