Thank you for explaining that you will only get one email until you check the thread. I could not figure out why I would get the emails sometimes and not others.

Ah - thanks! I've never noticed that before. I'll hold off on clicking it until right before we leave. And thanks for offering to send me a PM, too! We're leaving on July 26, so I'll be compulsively checking between now and then. But isn't it Murphy's Law that it always happens the one day you are away from your phone/computer?

Just thought I would put this out there........

I called and spoke with a CM re reservations there for dinner around Christmastime because I wasn't seeing any dinner times. She told me that location is going to be hosting a holiday character dinner in December and into the new year. Don't quote me but I want to say it is going to be called Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine. Trying to remember what she said the characters were. I know it was Minnie, Mickey, Donald and Daisy, but I can't recall if she said the fifth character was Pluto or Goofy. She didn't have confirmed prices yet. She said they should be finished loading the times into the dining system soon so it can be booked.

EDIT: the exact dates are 11/7 thru 1/3

This makes perfect sense-thank you! My parents are going in December and could not figure out why there were no ADR's showing up for their favorite restaurant. They assumed it was closed for renovations.

When they release these special meals is it typically at 6:00 am or can it happen at any time of the day?

Seems to be anytime. Some of the SW events opened at 10 am, phone lines only, to start.

If they have Minnies Holiday and Dine Dinner as a Fantasmic package for dinner, does that mean there will be no regular Fantasmic dinner options (so with no characters?) or are you are you able to get both options for dinner? I've never eaten there and wasn't sure how they'd separate the 2? Hope that makes sense! We would like to eat dinner there with the fantasmic package but would prefer it not to be a character experience-actually DH would prefer it not to be characters

They won't offer the option without characters. It will be Minnie's Holiday and Dine or nothing. Perhaps Mama Melrose would be better for you, if you don't want characters.

I just called, and the particularly helpful and friendly castmember I spoke with told me that they were supposed to be able to start booking this 3-4 days ago, but that there's been a glitch and things have been held up. I asked if it was postponed to a particular time or date, and she said "no," that this was a glitch that they couldn't help and they don't have a specific date on which it will be open. I asked if I should just keep calling regularly and she said, "I would."

So, take it with a grain of salt.. But I'm going to keep pestering, cause 2 different agents 3 days apart have told me that I should.

I have heard no credible rumors that MM was going to be a character meal. That would be unprecedented, although anything is possible, I guess. They have to figure out some way of luring people to the barrenness that is the current DHS. FDP is often loaded into the system much later than typical ADRs and, with the Minnie's meal, they may just be holding it back. They did this at Epcot with both the Eat to the Beat and Candlelight Processional packages this fall, holding back times and then after the plans were finalized releasing other times. Did anyone note the private party and early closing for DHS on Nov 17th. It closes at 4pm that day. I called a couple months ago and they said it was booked or rented out for the afternoon :/

Yes, they closed early one day that week last year as well. I believe it is the cast member's holiday party.

Yes, and there is a MVMCP that night too, so Epcot will be the only park open that night. And we will have been there on Sunday and Monday evenings. Not thrilled by this, since that is the last night of our 4 night trip :-(
