I just called and asked about this, she told me that they are getting a lot of calls about Minnie. The CMs have been asking for more information, and were told there is no additional information yet.

While we wait.... can someone give me some advice on whether we should do the Fantasmic dining package vs. getting Fantasmic Fast Passes? I'm trying to book our dinner for our arrival day, so I won't be needing Fast Passes for any rides, so I don't feel like I would be wasting them. Also, my preferred date happens to be a date that has evening extra magic hours. I'm assuming they don't typically add a second showing of Fantasmic on nights that have EMH, but the EMH would give us some extra time to see the Osborne lights after Fantasmic. Suggestions are welcome! TIA!

I can't help with info on EMH F!, but I think these are going to go quickly for all dates (especially since it's only dinner). My strategy? If I can get one with F! & it doesn't cost an extra credit - score! If not I'll take what I can get & I'm still looking for a MM F! Dinner for our other DHS night - MM F! Is excellent value for one credit.

We're not on the Dining Plan.... so if you're paying out of pocket, how much extra does it usually cost to get the Fantasmic dining package?

If you aren't "wasting" the fastpass, I would go that route. Based on current info, it seems that Minnie F! will be 2 credits and without F! will be only 1.

I think I remember someone on this thread saying F! Was $6-7 more :confused3. But that's hard to answer as the price varies seasonally. I'm looking for X-Mas Day dinner = $$$$$. There aren't usually characters for dinner either, so there'll be an upcharge for that. Either way expensive.

They accidently charged me for a CRT reservation for breakfast on Dec 26th - If I keep it I'll be using credits. With the Canadian/US exhange rate it was over $395.00 for 5 of us... For breakfast... :faint:

The SWW meal was $6 more for an adult and $4 more for a child with F!

Regarding FP vs F! dining, I think the reserved seats for the dining packages are better (right in the center), but either one is better than GA seating.

If I recall correctly, ,F! FP is a Tier 1. So I think the dinner is worth it (but not worth an extra credit just for F!) so you can get Toy Story or Rockin Roller Coaster FPs.

I was wondering if one of them guaranteed the seats being available longer than the other. For example, if we do the Fast Passes (free!!!!), do we run the risk that we get there and they've run out of seats or that they've already been released to general admission?

Apologies to you Cluelyss, and any others, who saw me asking these same questions on the Candlelight Processional thread a couple of weeks ago. But with two potty-training toddlers, it's not so easy to get places as quickly as we used to when I was single and in my 20s, LOL! If the Fanstasmic Dining Package guarantees us a better seat, I might be inclined to spend a little extra. Appreciate all the info from everyone.

I'm not sure when, if ever, they release those seats to the general public, so can't really help there. But either one would require getting there only a half hour early versus an hour plus (for a good seat). If you don't care about your spot (it IS a large amphitheater!), you could show up closer to start time, and if there are 2 showings, the second is always less crowded, and wouldn't require a FP.

When we were last there with our potty training toddler and baby, we got there 30 minutes early and got our seats. Then, while my husband and older son watched the pre-show, I took the younger two to the bathroom (and diaper change). The restroom was very easily accessible from our seats (we had F! dining package). We actually sat closer to the top so that we didn't get wet (it was December and was a cooler evening), which also made it easier to get back and forth for bathroom breaks.

Is lunch going to be 1 TS credit? It's saying special instead of 1 entitlement.
