Are we 100% sure that the dinner without Fantasmic includes the Holiday Characters?

That was brutal. Wow. People are all freaking out. I lost 5 minutes because I had to run the dog out and then I didn't even get what I wanted (11/16!).

11/16 is rough! I couldn't get it either online with Fantasmic. Got it when I called without it though.

For those of you calling, say "special dining event" instead of "make a reservation" - that should minimize your wait time.

For all of those concerned about it showing up as only "hollywood and vine" when booking without fantasmic package via phone:
I booked the dinner only via phone this morning and looked on MDE immediately while still on the phone with the CM. Mine only showed up saying H&V so when I asked her she assured me it is the MInnie meal and that is what her confirmation info states. She could tell I was still concerned so she sweetly offered to email me what she saw on her end regarding the confirmation. It does say "Hollywood & Vine Minnie's Holiday and Dine Dinner" in the confirmation she emailed me on her own. (Still not sure why you never automatically get a confirmation email for bookings when you do it via phone, unlike online...)

Hope that eases some people's minds... : )

Just got November 22nd with Fantasmic! for 3!!!

I am so excited!!!

I really wanted November 16th, but there were no reservations left. I tried every day of our trip and finally got the 22nd...our last night there! We had a reservation for Boma that night, but we are eating there earlier in our trip as well, so it works out great!

It will be a special treat to go there on our last night. SO EXCITED!!!

Yes, it does !!! Just booked over the phone for thanksgiving without Fantasmic---- it IS the character meal---- also never realized that the ADR would show up on MDE when you call--- normally, I get the conf # and link it --- I am assuming that because I gave my hotel conf # they linked it for me ?

would you mind emailing me just that part of the confirmation? The CM that I spoke with said they didn't have a way to email confirmations.

I booked the Fantasmic package and am considering dropping back to the regular meal purely because of cost. I have 2 DD's who will be 11 and 12. Is this a buffet? If not, I'm thinking they could order 1 adult meal or 2 child. Would they be able to still get the advanced seating for Fantasmic with the F! package?

So excited! I booked for 7 people on November 29th and Dec 3rd. I'll be dropping one (so don't lose hope), but I need to wait to do my Fastpasses before I can drop one

Thanks to the e-mail alert from the other thread earlier, I was able to score a 5:45 dinner w/ F! on 11/23. I could not believe it! The web site didn't even freeze up once. I am still in shock!!! I ran into the kitchen dancing and freaking out after the ADR was confirmed; my husband gave me THE LOOK. He thinks I have lost it! He told me I need help, and I was all, "TELL THAT TO SANTA GOOFY!!!" I'm cracking up.

Someone up thread said it's only $2.79 cheaper without Fantasmic. So like $50.20...

Finally got the F! on my preferred date, 11/13!

I was up at 6, nothing available. An hour later, I saw the flood of successes and tried again, kept getting an error when I tried searching on the event page. Finally saw a time available but it got nabbed before I could complete the reservation. Kept clicking again & again, lots of "no tables available..." messages until I finally got one!

I was already on hold with the Reservations phone line, so I stayed on to see if they could adjust the time slightly later. CM I spoke to said that they've been super busy with calls this morning, and almost everyone calling is trying for Minnie's Holiday Dine. She said she wasn't showing any F! left, but she gave me the option of dropping my F! and getting a dining-only at my preferred time (only 20 min later, no thanks).

Keep refreshing, and try calling!

I don't know if I want to waste my time on hold then trying to switch to non-fantasmic.
