I'm contemplating doing the Minnie's breakfast when my daughter and I go down in November but I have a question about what time they open.

Do they open at the same time as the park? Or can you get a PS for earlier than the park opens? Say an 8am PS if the park opens at 9am.

I usually don't do character breakfasts because I don't want to lose the early park touring time but I might do one if I can get in before the park opens.

From my understanding you cannot get PS prior to the park opening. When we made PS for AG in DCA, the park opened at 9:30 and the earliest seating they had was 9:45ish.

Someone else may be able to elaborate a little more.

I believe Minnie & Friends can have PS for 1 hour before park opening.

I must say I am not sure either - I have heard conflicting reports on M&F being open or not open before park opening. I think someone said that they ate at M&F during their MM hour, but I could be wrong. We have a lot of wonderful M&F experts here, so I am sure someone will be able to help.

But just in case you can't get into M&F before park opening, I am pretty sure that the hotels' character meals all open at 7:00 a.m. I know for a fact that Goofy's opens at 7:00 a.m., and I would imagine Lilo and Stitch and Storytellers also do - so you could definitely get in a character meal before park opening one way or the other.

I have not been to Minnie and Friends but I have heard that you can get in prior to the park opening. My only recommendation would be to call Disney Dining.

I'm sure it could change, or be diff for diff seasons, but we have 7:10 ressies for the end of July, when the park opens to the public at 8. It IS a MM day (Tuesday), it never occurred to me that they might only do early seatings on those days, but it makes sense. I didn't ask, that was the only day I made a PS ressie for, so we could eat early since we don't have MM tickets.

I've done this several times and I always book as early as possible so we can get out of the breakfast when the park opens. On the past three trips I've been on (one in January, one on Memorial weekend, and one on the 4th of July), when calling Disney Dining, they have told me that the earliest I could book for PS for Minnie & Friends on a day that opens at 8:00 am to the public is 7:00 am and thats what I did. If you like, you could check out my post on my TR to get some idea of the characters and the food for Minnie & Friends. I HIGHLY recommend it for character interaction, especially early in the morning. It is without a doubt the best interaction with characters I've ever had!

Hope that helps !

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I will just keep my fingers crossed when I call Disney Dining at my 60 day mark.

It's not the end of the world if I can't. I plan on doing lunch at Ariel's and dinner at Goofy's, so we will have plenty of character meals if it doesn't happen.

You CAN get in early, to both parks, for the character meals. When we did AG for breakfast we got in at 8:45 and the park didn't open until 10. DCA never opens until 10, they do let people in at 9:30 for an early opening of Soarin' but the whole park is not open at that time.
I'd call the dining line and see what's open, you might be pleasantly surprised. :)

I called Disney Dining last week and the CM I talked to said the first seating is 10 minutes after the park opens. On a MM day it opens 10 minutes after the gates open for MM. Non MM days it opens 10 minutes after rope drop

We've eaten there an hour before opening, and I am pretty sure it was not a MM morning but I could be wrong.

On another note, we LOVE Minnie's, second only to the awesome food at Storytellers, but it is so fun to be in the park so early and I feel that we have always gotten the BEST character interaction there and seen the most characters of any other character dining. Just my two cents...

Since there is a Minnie's Breakfast, what about poor Mickey? Is there a breakfast for him too? Or does he have to go to McDonald's to have pancakes? ;)
I say equal rights for the mice! Otherwise, I might have to boycott cheese! And I do love my cheese, just ask Mickey and Minnie!
