Minnie's Breakfast question

I just called for the 9:10 reservation to Minnie's Breakfast on March 1 and the CM said the earliest res is 9:30. Online when I look it says searching "9:10-11:00". Of course the 9:10 isn't available and I totally missed it. I should have logged in last night at midnight. :( But is that true - the first res would be 9:30 for a 10:00 open day? I think it should be 9:10 due to MM. It's a Tuesday.

Okay crisis diverted. I called back and was sprinkled with pixie dust. I begged and she gave me the 9:10. She even brought up Paint the Night packages for March 1 for me and let me book them as well. I had asked about PTN with the first CM and she said you can't book until the entertainment schedule was released. Apparently not! My best advice to anyone else with this problem is to call back. :) Feeling happy and magical!! :) Hooray!!!

Well it is good to see there will be magic morning on Tuesday March 1st - as I was half wondering if they would not show that as happening if they go ahead with the 29th as a 24 hour event like they did 4 years ago - we are sort of waiting to see what is going on with that before deciding which days we will go to the parks during our stay - I am going to book it for Thursday as I like to do the breakfasts towards the end of our trip when we are not still itching to get things checked off the list.

Minnie's is great - we have done it twice not at the very first sitting - my advice is not to rush on your food but take in all the character interaction you get when you first get there as that is the best time as they are all just standing around waiting for people to come in. It's not table service there so you can sit down and interact with the characters and when it starts to fill up more then grab a tray and fill up on your breakfast. I have never felt rushed to leave there which is also nice.

Have fun!

Thanks sherilaine. So if the 29th was 24 hour they wouldn't have EM hours on the 1st? Good to know! I had a momentary freak out this morning. I had gotten so much advice about not having to book "right away" but if you want that 9:10 spot you better grab it. I looked at the previously week and some are full and some aren't. I guess its a crap shoot but to be safe I'd grab it at midnight CA time.

We made the earliest possible. My kiddos were 7 and 4 the last time we went. This was part of the trip they always talk about. It was misting and chilly and no one was in the park when we got finished eating so we walked on to every single ride.

Hope it all works out for you! We loved Minnies so much on the Tuesday of our trip we turned around and booked a Thursday breakfast there too on the same trip. In the long run It was only a little more than we paid for breakfast at IHOP and at least we each got to pick what we wanted and as much as we wanted on the buffet at Minnies.

Can I jump in here with a quick question? Can you book any pre-opening breakfasts at DL (like WDW)?

To my knowledge the only thing available is Minnie's at Plaza Inn on MM only and it opens 50 minutes before park open due to EM.

From my experience, even when you have the very first reservation of the day - which is 50 minutes before regular park opening - you go in with all the people that are going in with early entry or magic morning - so there is nothing special about getting in before park opening with Minnie's breakfast. The only other character breakfast in the parks is Ariel's Grotto and I don't think you can get in there before park opening either. I had read stories of maybe earlier registrations being given in prior years but I think at least in the last few there is no real benefit. The only reason I make the earliest reservation is to have the best character interaction and of course to be able to get an early start on the day.

It's a benefit to me because I am staying offsite and don't have EM.

I'm pretty certain my dining time is before park opening. Regular park opening at least.
