I just booked a PS for Minnie's for Sept. 19th (Sunday). The CM said the latest seating was 10:10 and it was "over" at 11:00. She said that is when we would have to leave. This doesn't seem like enough time to eat and see the characters, so just wondering if anyone else has any experience with being at the last seating. Did they boot you out right at 11:00?

Hmmmm ~ last May we had a PS for Minnie's a little after 10am - DD's BBB appointment ran late/long so we didn't get there till about 10:45 ~ we had a great time, lots of characters, plenty of good food and we felt like we had plenty of time *we weren't shooed out @ 11am*.

When I made ressies for Minnie's for end of Aug. we were told hour and a half limit which is a great amount of time we usually do Goofy's in just under that.

We had a Minnie & Friends PS for like 10:20 or similar. We did not get booted out and had a GREAT experience. In fact, a lot of the tables were empty so character interaction in our area was also great. I know DH and I sat around and enjoyed an extra cup of coffee while the kids played with the characters. I wouldn't worry about being kicked-out. I would do after 10am PS again for sure.
Have fun and enjoy...BTW Sept 19 is my birthday so have a blast :thumbsup2

Thanks for the responses everyone - I kind of figured that the CM probably didn't know what she was talking about. I couldn't imagine having us sit down at 10:10 and then less than an hour later telling us to leave.

One other question - should I try and get inside or outside? Does it matter?

We had a 10:20 or so ressie, we had plenty of time, we were not kicked out and they had bfast foods available after we left. :)

We ate at Chef Mickey's in WDW and had a late breakfast seating. They didn't really replenish the food and several dishes were empty/gone. I was quite disappointed with the selection. Keep in mind, this is a totally different restaurant in a totally different park, but might be useful info all the same. Have fun!!

We were told to just relax and that there was no need to rush (DH wanted another cup of coffee). We got there when it opened and even though it was busy they weren't rushing people out the door. I just didn't want to be taking up a table for a cup of coffee (can you tell I don't like the stuff?;)) when there could be someone waiting to get in to eat, but was told not to worry, let DH have his coffee.

Our most recent experience at Minnies was a late breakfast there in October and it worked out great. Continued to thin out crowd wise and the characters spent a lot of time with us since it was quieter.

To be honest, I will only do this breakfast if I can get a late reservation. When I have been earlier, its been so crowded and hectic. To further that, I do late breakfast at all the character meals I have done in both DL and WDW and have always had hot food and have never been rushed out. Now eventually they will have to switch over, but I don't think its right at 11:00, in fact I know its not because I have been there past 11:00 more than once.

I love to sit outside but my experience has been that when I do sit outside, I am more likely to have trouble getting all the characters to come to our table. Of the six or seven times we have been, we have been inside I think three times and those were our best experiences as far as characters. That late you should have your choice.

We have a 10:30 reservation in August...also did that last December...We were one of the last tables to leave, and nobody kicked us out...in fact we saw a ton of characters at the end when there weren't as many people left.

I think what the CM was referring to is the characters..I think they leave at 11.

They are supposed to leave at 11 but we were there until at least 11:30 and there were still loads of characters there, and more coming out from the back! :) As for the food, it was very plentiful and readily available. At M&F they will do custom omelets for you and the cooks were still making omelets for people when we left, the pastries were full, all other buffet offerings were full as well.

Great, thanks! And thanks everyone else for your responses. The only character meal we have ever done is Ariel's (3 times now) and it's time for a change....:)

Great info everyone! We do Goofy's for dinner when we arrive in town. This year I wanted to add another character meal on my birthday. First I was thinking Ariels since DD is into princesses but I want to do breakfast and their menu just doesn't sound that great for what you pay. I know you are paying for the character interaction and I understand that. But it looks like Minnies is better food, more characters possibly and a slightly lower cost if I've researched right. I think we'll do Minnies and just suffer through the lines at PFF so DD can get her princess fix.

I just booked this yesterday for our trip in three weeks. I was told you get 90 minutes with the characters and that they don't leave until 11:30. So, we booked for 10:00. I was quoted $28 for adults and $14 for kids.

I just booked Minnie's breakfast for Sept 23 and was told the latest time was 10:50 and characters would leave at 11:30.

I'll post our experience because it's so different than everyone elses. We did a walk in in January. We got in around 10:20. No one informed us they would be closing at 11:00. We got seated and immediately a few characters came. They played with my son and we took pictures. Then they did a song and dance so we did pictures of that. We then grabbed our first plate of food. We sat down and were informed by a cast member that we better get what we want because they were taking the food away. They close at 11 to reset for lunch. We grabbed a bit more, but honestly there wasn't much left and what was left was kind of cold. No more characters came by, as they left after the dance and we were rushed and disappointed. I complained and we rec'd a $50 food voucher so they tried to make up for it, but we won't go back. But ours was also during the off-season and it wasn't the slightest bit full, so maybe that makes a difference??

So in my experience, yes, they do want you out by 11. They stop putting out more food after 10:30, even if the stuff is empty. The characters went away after the 10:30ish dance/song thing and they take away the food from the buffet around 10:45-10:50.
