Who's been to the character breakfast at Cape May in the Beach Club? Will my 3 yo and 4 yo grandkids have fun? How is the food?

1. Yes.
2. Yes, if they like characters.
3. It's your typical breakfast buffet. Just fine & plenty to choose from.

My 6 year old recently commented that it was one of her favorite things she did at Disney last year. And we did almost everything, I feel like. She liked that the characters were in their swimsuits.

I think it's a more low key character breakfast (which is why I love it). It doesn't have any dancing or parades but we always get solid character interaction.

We really enjoy this breakfast buffet. As PP mentioned, it is much more low key and laid back. We've always had especially friendly CM's here. The characters in their beach attire are cute. We always go here when we stay at the Beach Club. The only downside to this meal is if you are at another resort (not on the Boardwalk) it can be difficult to use Disney transport to get here on time for breakfast. Enjoy!

We did this one several years ago when we couldn't get into Chef Mickey. Typical breakfast foods are served. Mickey and his friends are in beach wear. I think she will enjoy it!

We are staying at WBC and will drive there. How is the parking?

Sorry, we always fly into MCO (never driven), so can't help you there. Maybe someone else will chime in? But, I have heard that you can park at a resort for a few hours if you have a dining reservation.

We stayed at BCV in December. I don't remember us ever having to walk too far to the vehicle. It is a normal size parking lot for a resort that size.

Anything particularly yummy on the buffet? We are going for the first time on our next trip during our BC stay. It will be the morning of my middle son's 12th birthday so I'm hoping for a little extra attention for him from the characters :)

We are doing this for the first time.next week! Bus from Pop to HS and then walking. Cannot.wait!

Yes!!! We were there the second week of May and they now have a crepe station! So yummy! They are prepared by a chef and you have your choice to fill them with caramelized bananas or mixed berries and top them with Nutella, chocolate sauce and maybe one other. We were so excited to see this as we wanted to try the Nutella fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow in the MK but didn't make it over there (and we are more crepe fans). We've gone to Cape May each time we are at BCV and this was new since our last trip. They have a smoked salmon station too with all the fixings and delicious frittatas where I think the types rotate.

We were there celebrating my DS 10th birthday which was two days earlier in our trip. I had noted it on all our reservations but we were checking out that day so I don't think he was wearing his birthday button (he had worn it for most of our trip). Our server must have seen it on our reservation and brought him over a birthday cupcake and a signed card from Minnie and Donald! So nice! So, let your server know if they don't do anything on their own.

To the OP, we love Cape May breakfast. The character interaction is great and was particularly good on our recent trip. The food is great and it's not as crazy busy as some of the character meals. The swimsuit costumes are fun too. It's only three characters (Minnie, Goofy and Donald) but at least two of them came around twice. Hope you have a great time!

Oh, that sounds awesome! And thank you for the birthday tip--we'll be sure to mention it :)
