***MinnieM3 update- gamma knife procedure***

Hi everyone,

Jim, Beth's husband here. We just returned home from Columbia SC where Beth had her gamma knife surgery done today. The neurologist said it went well and was glad we did not wait longer to have it done. One of Beth's brain tumors was very close to the brain stem, where if allowed to get larger, could do great harm.

In this procedure, the tumors, but not the surrounding tissue, were bombarded with gamma radiation. An MRI in about 6 weeks will hopefully show that the tumors were destroyed.

Beth is really exhausted following all of this. As you know, we had to postpone our WDW vacation, but we should be going there on Saturday.
