Minnie Vans?

/
I'm wondering if they are going to offer airport service come 1/1. I believe it was $155 one way before they closed.

@TinkBink you might check the date on the blog, there was one posted very similar to this back November 25, 2020 "Update: It has been confirmed that the Minnie Vans that were spotted at a dealership in Florida were not for sale, they were just in for service. The Twitter user was contacted by Disney and asked to pull down their tweet.Nov 25, 2020"

They were out at the Run Disney event, so they clearly are still around. I really do think it's likely to see them show up for Airport runs after DME ends, that run makes sense from a profitability perspective.

Whoops my bad! I'm just so anxious for them to come back!

I can see them being used for VIP tours.
Ehh… Black screams VIP more than red and polka dots. And there has not been one report of a Minnie Van being spotted driving about on property 😔

Dangit. I REALLY miss MVs. Sure I saved SO much money taking a rideshare but I still missed MVs. Although all my rideshares from my last trip were ok for the first time ever so maybe it’s time my pocket book and I turn a new leaf after all…

I donno - last VIP tour we did we had a big crew and they picked us up in a white church van… didn’t scream luxury!

(In fairness, the time we did one with just 4 people we did have a black SUV) :-)

As far as Minnie Vans… I take comfort in the fact that they continue to be stored off to the side in the Epcot parking lot.

I read in a blog that last week the minnie vans were spotted at a dealership and it was confirmed they were there for maintenance. Hoping this means a comeback is imminent?!

Not necessarily. Vehicles were apparently being stored somewhere near Epcot and any vehicle requires periodic maintenance if not being driven regularly. I don't consider blogs to be official statements of anything and are often speculation/hunches/conjecture by the poster. Until Disney decides what to do with or to eventually dispose of them, they still need to be maintained.

Sure I certainly understand cars need to be maintained (and as someone pointed out this blog post was from last year!). And of course blogs are not official statements by Disney (but so interesting to read). But I just find it encouraging that they are continuing to invest in maintenance rather then selling! They must be at least considering them for something.....

A sure way to check is the casting Web site-Disney Jobs. zzThey will need to rehire for that position 6-8weeks ahead of time.
