Minnie Van payments

Hijacking somewhat:

Can you use Lyft credits or discounts on Minnie Van's? Like, we have Lyft Pink, so get discounted rides. Will that apply to these?

Hopping on your highjack, lol, I wanted to know if you can use Lyft gift cards to pay for the Minnie Vans.

I’m not sure what Lyft Pink is, but I’ve used Lyft gift cards to pay for Minnie Van rides multiple times. Just make sure you have the gift card loaded into your app before you order the ride.

When we used a MinnieVan a couple of years ago the payment process was totally handled through the Lyft App. Disney apparently has some arrangement with Lyft that lets them do this. Payment was made via credit card at the conclusion of the ride (including any tip) using the Lyft App.

Weird question...

I always tip my Uber/Lyft drivers, but are the Minnie Van drivers a tipped position? I don't want to tip if it is "not necessary" but I certainly do not want to stiff theh driver. On a similar note, can the Lyft gift cards be used towards the tip? We are only going to use Lyft for MinnieVans and I would like to buy a Lyft gift card from Target. We would like the MV to go to/from HDD so I want to buy about $150 if I need to add a tip and about $100 if a tip is not needed.

The option to tip shows up in the app. I've only used a credit card in the app to pay and tip Lyft drivers, MV and regular.
I assume you're planning to load a GC into the app? I would think once loaded it would work the same.

Yeah you can use the gift card loaded in the app to pay and tip. I tipped our MV driver cash when we took one to hoop de doo.

Does the Lyft app take an Uber gift card?
It will the same day Disney starts to accept Universal gift cards.

In case the poster is confused Uber and Lyft are direct competitors. Uber and Uber Eats are the same company.

Trick question can you use an Uber card for Mears luxury towncar rides. Unless something has changed Mears accepts bookings from Uber, I don't remember what category books Mears, Black or Lux?

Super late to the convo but Lyft Pink does not discount MVs.

It is not necessary. Obviously some will disagree with me but the basics of the position are it is salaried with benefits and that is one of the reasons they are so expensive, I do not feel guilty saying zero tip on the app. My exception to that is when we have our ECV user, then I tip because the effort they put it in loading & unloading him. If I had kids requiring a car seat I would also feel like tipping for the extra effort. But- that is just me! MVs really are to each their own tipping wise. (Originally they weren’t even allowed to accept tips, but too many guests kept insisting on tipping because US tipping culture 😆.)
