Minnie Mouse's Dress

Why is it, for quite some time now and even years back, so much merchandise and depictions of Minnie in toys, plush, etc show her in a pink dress far more than they do in her classic red?

Other than Club House, I do not remember ever seeing Minnie Mouse dressed in pink. Red has always been the color I associate with Minnie. Even just today I saw the new Lego Disney Minifigures and again, Minnie was in her pink dress while the rest were all classic.

Because she wears pink on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and for Minnie's Boq-tique, which are her two current franchises.

Opposite of same question but my DD who loves Minnie's Boutique is always asking why she doesn't wear her pink dress anywhere? I thought she would meet in her pink dress in HS when they built the new M & G area but nope red again.

I agree with what the PPs said- and maybe the switch to pink because it is a favorite color of many potential customers who will ask for her toys...

I've always been partial to the red though! Glad she still meets like that!

When I saw her last week, she was wearing a blue dress for the Disneyland 60th anniversary. She probably has as many outfits as Mickey does, and she wears whatever one corresponds with the season and/or merchandise that is currently being featured.
