Minnie Marathon 2007 -- WISH Roster (see post 1 for WISH Meets Info!)

Hey team!!!!

Well really no training to speak of this weekend, lots of xtraining, if housework counts. The weather here was amazing so we just got outside house stuff done.

DFIL was rushed to the hospital yesterday morning so we spent most of the day there. He had a triple bypass about 15 years ago, but is in great health but they think he may have overdone it Sat and was having a lot of chest pains. He is stable now and we should know more today. Prayers and Pixie Dust would be appreciated.

Hope you all have a great day.

Kim

Kim--:wizard: for your FIL. Hope he's better soon!

I will be at EoS Saturday and add me as another one who'll be pretty quiet, at least quiet at first.;)

I'm off this morning for a LR in the wind! It should be an adventure!

Tiff - So glad that you're coming! I think you'll be glad you did. Ugh to the high blood sugar. Chemo won't help much. :( Make sure the blood sugar doc knows about the chemo. :grouphug:

Stephanie - You'll be fine! It'll be easier with the big group for the first time. You'll be yourself in no time and I know we won't be disappointed. Bleieve it or not, I can be alittle quiet when I first meet people too. :p

Kim - :wizard: for your FIL.
Tiff - I am glad you are coming too!

Can you guys believe it - just over a week to go!!

Tiffany -- I am so glad you are coming! I am looking forward to giving you a huge  in person! Tell your Mom I am looking forward to seeing her, too!

Kim -- sending pixiedust: for your FIL.

Cam - I'll be at EoS, eating my low salt lunch! ;)

Good Afternoon, WISH team mates!

You know, at the rate we are growing, we're gonna need a convention center room of our own!! :chat: Hey, we could have a booth at the Expo selling just WISH stuff! Well, except the markup to cover the expense of the booth would make stuff too expensive.. I know  we could have someone in a WISH shirt wandering around the Expo and whenever a member came up, they would be handed a card telling what hotel room we were selling WISH stuff in..:cool2:

Michelle, sorry, wasn't even thinking about a young runner! We are just glad that YOU will be there! And be prepared to have everyone checking on you, too!
Kim,pixiedust:

Those who don't have WISH shirts... At the very least PLEASE come up to anyone wearing a WISH shirt or bracelet and say, "Hi!" I promise you, we are as friendly in person as we are on the boards! Well, I know I scared Craig pirate: , cause I am definitely the LOUDEST , but I don't bite

PURPLE flags, here I come! I'll be walking with the rest of the true Penguins. Although, even the Penguin himself would pass me! I just love this picture I have of Pat rounding mile 23 or so of the marathon, walking as if she were out on a stroll..as cool as all get out (well maybe not weather wise...)! THAT's training!!:thumbsup2

YAY! I LOVE how the WISH meet list in post #1 is growing!!!

I've also started a Jellyrolls list at the request of another WISHer via PM. Feel free to let me know if you'll be there and I will add to that list.

Kristi -- someone asked me what time and I told them you said you'd be there around 8. Is that still your plan? Will you wear a WISH bracelet or something so people can find you? A bunch of us will be coming over closer to 10 or 10:15 after our WISHes cruise. Just let me know if I have the time right for you to start "hosting" our little WISH party!! :grouphug:

Cam - Count me in teh "closing the place down" group! :goodvibes

OK, we need to get a lime green bike flag or one of the big signs liek they use on DCL fro excursions. ;)

Hi Anne - I know you'll be great at greeting everyone - I remember the great introductions you did for everyone who arrived at the POP meet on Marathon weekend. You sure are great at making everyone feel welcome.

I hope to be at the EoS meet on Saturday. I'm travelling with a friend and hope to convince her to come along. We do have tea planned for that afternoon. I know that I saw that Cam and a few others also had plans for tea so maybe we'll see some of you at the GF too!!

We also plan to go to Jellyrolls on Sunday evening.

I'm looking forward to meeting up with everyone at WDW.

Kathy

You know, I probably won't make it to Jellyrolls.... That's way past my bedtime. :confused3

Oh, come on, Judy! You can sleep some other time! Come party with us!!! :cool1:

Kathy -- our ADR for tea is at 2pm. What time will you be there?

Count DH and I in for some Jellyrolls fun! WE'll be there probably after Illuminations. DH is letting me have a park day this trip--I'm so jazzed about "doing EPCOT" sans kiddos! Now I can actually enjoy strolling through World Showcase, and not be overly concerned where the next Kidcot booth is!;)

Stephanie -- You are going to LOVE WS sans kiddos! I did it on my solo trip last year and had a blast. Maybe you could reward DH by stopping at the little henna tattoo place in Morocco and arranging for a little surprise for him! ;) Not that I'd know anything bout that, mind you! :rolleyes1

The best thing was sampling various foods at various places without worrying about whether there was something the kids would enjoy and not even worrying about a real meal -- just a taste of this and a taste of that! popcorn::

DD Sarah and I will be at JR late. I probably shouldn't mention that the only other time I've been to a piano bar I got a little :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 . The one and only time in my life...and now that I think of it I was with Sarah and my younger DD celebrating her 21st birthday. I guess my DDs are a bad influence on me:lmao: :lmao: If I order a Long Island ice tea look out!! Who knew it had so much alcohol in it??? Certainly not an inexperienced drinker like me! I think it is safe to say that I will be sticking to Diet Coke:rotfl:

cam--I hear you about the food thing--when we were at Epcot a week or so ago, we ended up eating in the American pavilion b/c it was the only place that had food the kids would eat:rolleyes: I'm so ready to eat my way around WS!

yeah, I'd vote for skipping the America pavillion and the McDonald's place. Let's see:
margaritas in mexico
egg rolls in China
pastry in Norway
package of gummy bears in Germany
chicken skewers in morocco (or skip the food here in favor of henna tattoo!)
fish & chips in England (with lots of malt vinegar since kids wouldn't like that)
pastries in France & a glass of champagne (have to celebrate the bling, right?)

Oh, yum!

For my two cents, my last trip to WDW one afternoon my mom and I ate our way around WS. It was yummy and we were so full... I can't remember all we had but highlights included:
- Beaver tale in Canada (seriously, as a Canadian, I have never seen these before in my life besides the Canadian pavilion at Epcot, but no matter).
- A beverage at England
- Tiramisu in Italy
- Brattwurst in Germany
- Egg roll in China
- Churro in Mexico

Will definitely be attempting a similar feat this trip round!
